SEALED with a KISS! That was the star-studded Dave Kilner Night To Remember charity show when KISS rock legend Gene Simmons turned up - just to watch.

He was appropriately thanked with a big kiss from Dave's widow Shirley.

Gene, who had been rehearsing in the city ahead of his band's UK return at Sheffield Arena, showed up at the City Hall to watch his Def Leppard pals Joe Elliot and Rick Savage headline the concert.

He also enjoyed a reunion with another old friend, St Elmo's Fire rocker John Parr.

Crazy Crazy Nights hitmaker Gene, the blood-spitting, fire-breathing, tongue-wagging bassist, co-frontman and lead vocalist in hard rock band KISS, quipped: "We were in town and there was nothing on the TV. So we decided to drop by."

And when the audience alone includes the likes of him - you know the bill is going to be something special. It was.

South Yorkshire's music stars shone brightly to honour their late DJ and children's fundraising pal with a show to launch a new charity in his memory, to help disadvantage kids, called Help A Child Have A Chance
