From: kissonline.com

Paul Stanley, founder and front man of the legendary rock band KISS and highly-successful fine artist, and his wife Erin, a Los Angeles attorney, announced today that they are expecting a baby girl in August.

This will be the third child for the legendary Star Child and his wife who married in 2005 and live in Beverly Hills, California with their daughter Sarah Brianna (2), son Colin Michael (4) and son Evan Shane (16) from Stanley's previous marriage.

"There is nothing greater in life than family, and my accomplishments as a father rank at the top of my successes," Stanley said. "Erin and I are blessed with our expectation of the addition of another princess to our family and a new member of The KISS Army. I may be 59, but the only rocking chair this rocker is getting ready for is the one for my new baby."

KISS recently wrapped up their most successful world tour ever, The Hottest Show on Earth, in support of the Stanley-produced album Sonic Boom. In the midst of preparation for their next album, KISS will perform three shows next month including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX, with ticket sales expected to see 75,000 in attendance.

In addition to his role as KISS's chief songwriter, Stanley has also overseen the band's development and expansion into a worldwide brand with over 3,000 licensees. Stanley's signature model guitars continue to be marketed by numerous musical instrument companies. Sales now stand at over $13 million.

Having taken up painting ten years ago, Stanley is also a highly-acclaimed fine artist, whose work has garnered more than $3 million in sales in 2010. He is exhibited nationwide through Wentworth Galleries (www.WentworthGallery.com).

From: HollywoodReporter.com

Publishing house Scribner, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, has acquired worldwide and audio rights to the life story of KISS drummer Peter Criss. The book Makeup to Breakup is scheduled for release in fall 2012 .

According to an announcement, Criss will collaborate with Larry "Ratso" Sloman on the book, which tells the story of "a Brooklyn kid who conquered the world, composing and singing the band's biggest hit 'Beth,' and faced the perils of excess and his own mortality, including his battle with breast cancer." Sloman has also co-authored books with Howard Stern (Private Parts, Miss America) and Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis (Scar Tissue).

"I am so blessed that I am finally going to write my autobiography, and I hope you enjoy the ride," said Criss. "The best of all is I get to share my true feelings of my love for God, family, friends and fame. It's been a wonderful life."

Criss' former KISS bandmate Ace Frehley announced last year that he is also working on an autobiography. Gallery Books, also an imprint of Simon & Schuster, will release the 59-year-old guitarist's memoir No Regrets this summer.

Click To Enlarge Richie Scarlet Talks Up Peter Criss's Upcoming Album
From: RockMusicStar.com

Richie Scarlet, known as the "Emperor of Rock and Roll," is really the working man of rock. He lives and breathes his craft, never to be mistaken as 'weekend warrior.' While never having mainstream success, his musical credibility is highly respected amongst his musical peers, having played in bands with legends like Ace Frehley (KISS), Leslie West (Moutain), and with the members of the Alice Cooper Group (sans Alice).

Although Richie has spent many years playing in several bands, his real musical prowess can be discovered through his solo work, which his first solo album (released under the moniker, "Richie Scarlet and the Seducers"), "Hit for Hit," was released in 1984. Once Ace Frehley rejoined KISS in 1996, Richie really got down to work as a solo artist and started churning out great CDs on a regular basis, starting with "Wise Guy From New York" in 1997. Since then, Richie has released five other CDs, covering the gamut of original music, cover songs and even a live album. His most recent CD, "Fever" was released in the fall of 2010.

Since his gig playing with Ace ended, not only has Richie recorded some great music, but he has toured with Sebastian Bach (playing guitar), Moutain (playing bass), and has played gigs with various members of the Alice Cooper Group. Most recently, Richie joined a band called, 5th Avenue Vampires, with ACG bassist Dennis Dunaway. 5th Avenue Vampires released their debut CD, "Drawing Blood" (also in 2010), and are currently working on songs for their next album.

Richie recently granted John Jeffrey of RockMusicStar.com an exclusive interview, discussing his recent musical work and plans for the future.

RockMusicStar: 2010 was a very productive year for Richie Scarlet. Could you recount the projects you completed last year, for our readers here at RockMusicStar.com?

Click To Enlarge 1977: Star Wars, KISS And Comic Books

Let's get something straight right off the top: I'm not really a KISS fan. Nothing against 'em certainly, and we'll get to what I admire about them soon enough, but for me, my deepest fondness lay in the confluence, in the unusual ways in which KISS will forever be intertwined with my two real adolescent passions: Star Wars and comic books.

My Cousin Jerry was the biggest KISS fan I knew growing up and we're still close. (It's true what they say about Italians and their cousins.)

We're both grown men with families now, and nostalgia now seems to flavor at least a few minutes of every day. But I'm guessing I'm not alone among those born at the tail end of the Baby Boom for whom Star Wars, KISS and comic books are curiously linked within that wistful sea of reminiscence.

Click To Enlarge Showcase: KISS Stage Sets Part I
from: Serpent3D

The stage set above was used for KISS's Dynasty-tour in the United States from June to December 1979. During the two previous years the band had established as a household name in America. Prior to the Dynasty-tour KISS had spent one million dollars developing the stage set - a significant amount at the time.

Why are we using a KISS stage set as showcase for Serpent 3D? A stage set is well suited to demonstrate some of the features delivered by Serpent3D. 3D animation is all about how objects change appearance in relation to light. A drawing or a picture can suggest the look of a planned project, but can never reflect light and simulate motion as 3D animation.

To make the simulation above complete we should obviously have included the band members in action on stage! However, we are unable to deliver character-animation at this point. Serpent 3D is first and foremost an alternative for small businesses in need of affordable 3D animation services for static objects like buildings, machines and products.

All models are constructed by Serpent 3D, but we can also finalize projects where a 3D model already is present. When delivering a project to Serpent 3D, you should leave your modesty at the office. Think big and plan without boundaries. Photographers and agencies are dependent upon expensive equipment and must work at location. Serpent 3D can recreate your idea down to the smallest detail from the comfort of our office chairs. Due to this fact we can deliver creative and grand scenes produced at a very low cost.

Click To Enlarge Peter Criss Memoir In 2012
From: LA Times

KISS drummer Peter Criss will pen a memoir, publisher Scribner announced Tuesday. "Makeup to Breakup" is slated for release in the fall of 2012.

Criss will write the book with the help of Larry "Ratso" Sloman. Scribner's press release promises, "From sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll to multiple brushes with death, 'Makeup to Breakup' will be Peter Criss' unvarnished and eye-opening life story."

While bandmate Gene Simmons has taken his outsize personality to reality television, Criss has had a quieter public persona. He is a breast cancer survivor. "I am so blessed that I am finally going to write my autobiography, and I hope you enjoy the ride," Criss said in the release. "The best of all is I get to share my true feelings of my love for God, family, friends and fame. It's been a wonderful life."

In addition to playing drums in KISS, Criss provided some of the vocals. In fact, he wrote and sang the band's biggest hit, the ballad "Beth."

Click To Enlarge Five Predictions for the KISS St. Patrick's Day Show at Hard Rock
From: Broward/Palm Beach New Times

KISS us, we're Irish. St. Patrick's Day's creepy little green guy will be overshadowed by larger, possibly more satanic, man-monsters this year when KISS brings its "Hottest Show on Earth Tour" to the Seminole Hard Rock on March 17 -- one of only two scheduled North American appearances for 2011 so far. This comes as great news for those of us who feel that the old beer-jig-puke routine is getting old and that the reign of the leprechaun has gone on for long enough.

KISS -- which currently features Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and two other dudes painted like Ace Frehley and Peter Criss -- is currently working on a new album, which means we may be treated to a few new songs. Of course, we're thinking that the songs will not be the big news at this show, which is obviously an attempt by KISS to overthrow the leprechaun. Here are a few predictions for the upcoming green-versus-black battle of St. Patrick.

KISS of Death Beats Luck of the Irish.

Though the question of how to best kill a leprechaun is hotly debated, we're pretty sure that death by tongue and flames will be KISS' approach. Simmons and company are no dummies, so they are no doubt anticipating an ambush at the Hard Rock from the little green buggers in an attempt to defend their sacred holiday from the invading KISS Army. As evil and sneaky as the leprechauns are, we're putting our money on the giant tongue and pyrotechnic attack of the invaders. Simmons is gonna lick 'em up like green beer from a pub gutter.

Simmons will get sick from the lepre-germs and the money we put on his tongue.
