Click To Enlarge Paul Impersonator And His Custom Apocalypse
From: Den

I have always been fascinated by Paul Stanley's guitars. I remember marveling at his mirrored Ibanez Iceman in the Dynasty program and live on stage at MSG in 1979. Since then he has had so many cool guitars that have been mirrored or rhinestoned. He's had Ibanez, Washburn, and Silvertone models that have been decorated and shaped in ways that you can't miss when he's on stage with them!

It's been a long time since my first concert in 1979, but these days I am still in awe of Paul's guitars. So much so that I impersonate him at charity events and make my very own replicas of his guitars to use when I perform. I don't play guitar so I have to use karaoke tracks, but I still have to look like I am playing. I am not about to use a five and dime electric guitar or a cardboard cut-out so I decided to make my own which you can see at facebook.com/rhinestoneguitars. Please visit and join.

I got a steal of a deal on a Silvetone Apocalypse and had the notion of having it turned into the extremely rare silver flake painted version. Only two were ever made and I have what I believe is the closest to number three as you can get. It started as a simple, beat up black and red Silvertone Special. I needed a painter to take on the project and found Jeff Rich http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Art-of-Jeff-Rich-RCA-Guitars/109436842418106?sk=info who has done replicas of amazing guitars from people like George Lynch, Eddie Van Halen and Zakk Wylde.

What started as this, turned into the most amazing replica I have seen. I had to get all black parts to switch out and there you have it!!!!
