Alice Cooper was joined by Ke$ha as he launched his new album at legendary Los Angeles club the Whiskey a Go-Go.
Thursday night (September 15) saw the rock legend play the iconic club for the first time in 42 years in celebration of his new album 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' in front of a star-studded audience. Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, Paul Stanley from KISS, Cheech Marin of Cheech And Chong, compere Rob Zombie and Ke$ha are pictured above, backstage after the show.
The saucy 'Tik Tok' singer appears on the album on the track 'What Baby Wants'. However, when she made her appearance onstage she joined Cooper in his classic 'School's Out'. Elsewhere, Cooper was joined by Robby Krieger from The Doors, and covered the band's hits 'Break On Through' and 'Back Door Man'.
He also covered 'Brown Sugar' by The Rolling Stones, 'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place' by The Animals and 'Train Kept A-Rollin'. Of course, the setlist also saw favourites from Cooper's own catalogue, including 'Under My Wheels', 'Muscle Of Love', 'Cold Ethyl' and the closer 'Elected'
Introducing Cooper, Rob Zombie said: "I feel like I've spent the last two years giving Alice Cooper awards... but he deserves it."
'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' is a sequel to his classic 1975 album 'Welcome To My Nightmare'.
