These fans will all be able to meet the Demon and get his autograph and photo. KISS Alive Forever authors Curt Gooch and Jeff Suhs are keeping busy these days. Last weekend they appeared at the 2nd annual Baltimore KISS Expo where they met with nearly 600 KISS fans and world premiered the KISS Alive Forever promo film which contains, among other treasures, the recently discovered earliest known footage of the band from January 1974, when Paul was still in his bandit makeup. Former KISS Manager Bill Aucoin was so impressed with the promo film he walked on stage and congratulated the authors. The book was such a hit at the Baltimore expo that it was completely sold out by 2:00 p.m. This Friday (tonight) Curt and Jeff will be on the Eddie Trunk show on WNEW in New York. Please tune in. KISS will perform with a symphony orchestra in Australia next year. Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and Peter Criss will fly to Melbourne next week to announce the show with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Just last week, Paul Stanley spoke to Undercover News saying a performance by Kiss with an orchestra "would be an event to remember and it would be stunning, What could be accomplished by a band with our sonic prowess and an orchestra would leave most people lobotomised sonically". Kiss underwent their farewell tour in Australia in 2000 but even then Gene Simmons told Undercover it was not the end of Kiss. "That's not true! We have a number of options" he said. Paul Stanley told us last week. "So many people with the best of intentions call it a day and then for whatever reason find they aren't really finished. Certainly that has been on the front burner and something we have been talking about quite a bit". The show is expected to be a one-off and will happen at Telstra Dome in Melbourne, possibly in March. At this stage it is uncertain if Ace Frehley will be included in the line-up.

The new location of the Indianapolis Expo really rocks. This event usually held at the Four Points Sheraton on the city's east side, took a major step forward by moving to the Holiday Inn on the north side of town. A much better hotel and the banquet room the event was held in, was just awesome. I won't get into a long drawn out review. Once again I was so involved in the day's events that its hard to describe everything that goes on at the Expos. As far as merchandise goes there was a nice choice of old and new. I hate to go to these and see only stuff from the Reunion Tour until the present. This wasn't the case today. I think most of us have the newer items. I like to see the rare old stuff or custom made fan items. The custom made items are better than a lot of stuff KISS actually licensed. Speaking of fan made items, a fan named Darryl Lefevre stopped by the KISS Freaks table to show me an airbrushed hockey mask which he had an airbrush artist make. Eric Carr, then Paul Caravello, first found some musical success in the band "The CellArmen" during 1966-8. Victor Cohen, the rhythm guitarist and later keyboardist for the band, has recently taken the time to complete a rather extensive Q&A for the KISSFAQ which should be of interest to fans of Eric. This completes the interviews with the three surviving members of The CellArmen. The interview covers several bands Eric Carr was in including Smack, Things That Go Bump In The Night, Salt And Pepper, and Creation. Additionally, the KISSFAQ has reviewed the new book "KISS Alive Forever: The Complete Touring History" and conducted a quick Q&A with the authors for those interested in learning something about the authors and the background of their long project! Added to the audio samples page of the FAQ are new crystal clear samples of Vinnie Vincent's Warrior demos, the project he was involved with immediately prior to joining KISS. Some of the material would be used by KISS and later by Vinnie's Invasion. Finally, a recent article tracks the history of Peter Shepley and Mike Brand, the core-writters of Peter Criss' pre-KISS band Chelsea. The two had worked together in the band "The Others" prior to Chelsea and released 3 singles. KISS Expo Holland

KISS Kollector Fanclub a.k.a. the European KISS Army organizes the biggest KISS Expo taking place in Holland in years. On Monday, November 11 Holland welcomes special guests Eric Singer and Sean Delaney at De Kade in Zaandam. KISS drummer Eric Singer appeared at Expos in Europe before, but it's the very first time Sean Delaney appears at a European Expo - and it's also his one and only European appearance! Sean of course was the secret mastermind behind much of the now legendary KISS concept and will talk about what really went on behind the scenes for all those years. Are Kiss planning a carefully orchestrated comeback? Frontman Paul Stanley assures Undercover News "I am far from being done making music". Rumours have been circulating of a planned Kiss concert performed with an orchestra to happen (possibly in Melbourne) next March. The plan is to have every member of the audience done up in Kiss make-up. Although not confirming the event, Paul Stanley tells Undercover that if it does happen "it would be an event to remember and it would be stunning, What could be accomplished by a band with our sonic prowess and an orchestra would leave most people lobotomised sonically". Only last year Kiss went out on their Farewell Tour. Some thought that signalled the end to the touring life for the band but as Paul says "without being cryptic or trying to sidestep it, what the future holds will be revealed in due time. It is gratifying to know that going out on a worldwide farewell tour what we were met with by most people was "don't go, don't leave". When we finished the farewell tour it was really interesting having people coming up to me all the time saying "I loved the farewell tour. When are you doing the 30th anniversary tour". The 2nd annual Baltimore kiss expo is this weekend.Sunday October 13th at the pikesville Hilton reisterstown rd Baltimore MD ,There will be tickets available at the door for this event The special guest Mark St John and Bill Aucion will be there for a Q&A and on hand for autographs.and the kiss tribute band kiss nation will be performing there famous creatures stage show along with the ace frehley tribute band loaded deck.Also the authors of the new kiss book kiss alive forever will be at the expo. The other events for the day are a kiss costume contest with a prize of $100 and a costume contest for the kids with a prize of $50.Also fantasy body arts will be painting faces all day for anyone wishing so and the kiss museum will be featuring aces reunion and elder costumes along with his black rocket guitar from the dynasty tour with many other kiss costumes for you to inspect.There will be 60 tables of kiss memorabilia for sale or trade and lunch available for all the hungry kiss fans.The Hilton has sold out of rooms but there are rooms at the Ramada inn across the street from the kiss expo call 410-486-5600 Also there is a Kiss party planned at the Hilton on the Saturday night before the expo so come out and have some fun with all the kiss fans.remember the event is this week end so come out to the Baltimore expo and celebrate the greatest band in the world.

Hello everyone! Sorry it has been a while, but I have been of course traveling a lot again with Grand Funk. A few cities like Ruidoso, NM were particularly memorable as we all got to see some great scenery and a great guitar store called Folk of the Wood. Bought a mandolin there that rocks! I love getting into new string instruments and will try to get them on my next solo disc somehow. All of the shows and cities have been fun, (Ft Worth Texas another high light for us and Denver as well) and of course, I use the down time while traveling to finish up some songs for the next BK solo disc, "Transformer" (tentative title). I have 12 songs ready to go now, and that feels great. I have met with Curt Cuomo (KISS, UNION, Audio Dog, Eddie Money, etc.) and we are all ready to start in the middle of October. I will use Brent Fitz of UNION on drums, and on one song called "It's Just My Life" I will have John Corabi on lead vocals. It is not meant as a UNION reunion, just John has THE voice for this song. I well cover all the guitars and bass on the disc and lead vocals. I have 8 vocal tracks to do and 4 instrumentals. This disc will be a great follow up to Audio Dog and I will fill you all in as I make progress on it. [More...]

Rock legends are grand marshals for NHRA ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals
LAS VEGAS -- Drag racing and heavy metal music seem to go together naturally so it is only fitting that members of legendary rock group KISS will appear at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway's NHRA ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals Oct. 26-27. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS -- a band famous for rock anthems such as "Rock 'n' Roll All Nite" and "Calling Dr. Love" -- will serve as grand marshals for the event and also are tentatively scheduled to appear at Club Nitro at the track on Saturday morning. To commemorate the band's 30th anniversary, three KISS-themed cars will compete in the event. The cars of Tony Pedregon (Funny Car), Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel Dragster) and Kurt Johnson (Pro Stock) all will carry special KISS paint themes to launch a die-cast car promotion for Action Performance. Tickets are on sale for the second annual NHRA ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals at The Strip at LVMS. The event is the next-to-last race on the 2002 NHRA POWERade Series schedule and should figure heavily in championship battles. This event also will be Kenny Bernstein's final appearance as a Top Fuel Dragster driver in Las Vegas. Pro categories include Top Fuel Dragster, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Bike.
