News from the Official KISS Press Conference!
(Updated 4-16-96)

Here is the news that was divulged at the KISS press conference today. (This is early KISS news and more will be divulged later... Make sure to check back!)

  • KISS plans to keep concert ticket prices low [Ticket prices for the Detroit show will consist of $85-$50-$35-$27.50 per ticket]
  • The tour will consist of "classic KISS songs" but they will "do the songs that the fans want to hear also"
  • KISS has dug into the KISS vaults and plan to release a new KISS album to celebrate this occasion. This new KISS album will contain "rarities and live stuff from the era of Alive 1 and Alive 2" This album will be mixed and digitally remastered. It is supposed to be released in June / July.
  • This KISS Reunion tour will be a "WORLD TOUR" in every sense of the word. Paul Stanley was quoted as saying "we are not going to finish until we visit every country / every city and we are committed to this for a year or two years, what ever it takes."
  • Bruce Kulick and Eric Singer are still in the band and gave their blessings for the tour.
  • The current KISS has finished and turned in a new KISS studio album (one in which Bruce Kulick sings Lead vocals on on a song "I Walk Alone") which will not be released for a while. Probably not until the Reunion tour is over with.
  • These are the only early dates given at the time. More will be given later and look here for the official KISS Reunion Tour dates!!
  • Other KISS notes: it is rumored that KISS will headline the "Monsters of Rock" festival in Donnington England 8/24/96. KISS is then rumored to tour EUROPE after this date.
  • White Zombie, Anthrax, and Soundgarden are other rumored openers for KISS's 2nd leg of the Reunion tour.

More Info on the KISS Press Conference: (Updated 4-12-96)

I asked the MTV News department today about televising the KISS press conference and they answered, "MTV News will be covering the Kiss event, but we aren't going live. It's not the best time of the day for most of our viewers...but we'll have several reports during the week and on The Week in Rock."
Also I have learned that Conan O'Brien, host of NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien, might host the KISS press conference. It is rumored that bits from this press conference will be shown on his TV show April 16th that night or the next night April 17th. His show air's at 12:30 est on NBC.
    Deuce,
