Psycho Circus Action Figure Descriptions
From: Chris Cook
I just got back from Mcfarlane Toys' show room in New York and they had on display the new Psycho Circus action figures ....all I can say is they are awesome. They look very cool, and very scary. I own a tiny little hole in the wall collectors' store with my parents so I went down to New York today to check out the new stuff at the toy fair.

A lot of the places didn't seem to want to help me out, but Mcfarlane was awesome they were very helpful and nice. People can't just walk in off the street to these things, you have to have credentials showing that you are in the business - like NAMM. Even with the credentials if you are not in a suit most of the toy companys there ignore you, but not Mcfarlane they were fantastic.

Mcfarlane Toys people gave me a tour of their show rooms. It was very cool, the room was decerated like a tent. Before entering the room, on the wall to the left of the entrance to the room was a big KISS Psycho Circus painting of KISS - it looked like part of one of the comics covers, a bit like the cover of # 3.

Inside the room was decorated like a tent and on one side had the Psycho Circus figures (the KISS members and their alter ego from the comic) and on the other side was the KISS action figs from last year. They had the packaging for them on display as well. I was not allowed to video tape, nor was anyone. However they did give me a cool book showing all their newest action figures and there is a ten page KISS spread - 8 pages of photos of the new Psycho Circus figures and 2 pages of the old figures from last year.

I was under the impression that the new figures costumes would be the costumes that were going to be worn by KISS on this tour but when you see them you won't believe it because they just look like too much for KISS - maybee they will loosly base the costumes on the figures, but total replicas of the figures to me seems unlikely.

The Descriptions:

Gene Simmons and the Ringmaster:
Gene comes with a dragon head that shoots missiles like a bazooka, as well as a large battle axe. Gene's costume reminds me of a knight in some ways and on his face there seems to be blood dripping from his mouth down his chin. The Ringmaster comes with a megaphone and a belt which attaches the megaphone to his waist and a walking stick/cane.

Peter Criss and the Animal Wrangler:
Peter comes with a large spear and a fur cape. His costume is black pants, black and green boots (the boots have claws similar to genes boots, but not exactly). He has no shirt, just a chain in the shape of an X on his bare chest. He has shoulder pads and wrist pads and a knife on his leg. The Animal Wrangler comes with a whip and a leopard.

Paul Stanley and the Jester:
Paul comes with a sword and a large shield (the shield snaps on his back as well as in his hand). Paul's costume has shoulder pads that are painted: one painted with Gene's makeup design and the other like Paul's makeup design. His knee pads have Peter's and Ace's makeup design on them and both the shoulder and the knee pads are shaped like skulls! He has black pants and a purple half shirt type top. The Jester comes with three balls and a juggling bowling pin. I also heard that he is coming with a dog.

Ace and the Stilt Man:
Ace is dressed mostly black: black pants and black shirt with a thin silver X across his chest. He has rocket launchers on his arms. The Stilt Man comes with stilts that he snaps into.

They all seem to have red eyes, they all have heads that are fully turnable (roto-molded), and of course rooted hair. Obviously the colors they have on their costumes are the ones they always have used: Gene/red - Paul/purple - Peter/green - Ace/blue.
