I have emailed a request for the song, (who knows when, or if, they read their emails) to the programmer. I have also requested the song at different times of the day to different disc jockeys, and they tell me "We will try and fit that in". To this day I haven't heard the song. I don't know if they don't like getting requests or what. I am going to fax them another request as soon as I send this message. Maybe there are some of you fans out their that can help out. Maybe I am the only one this station is getting requests from. Can't wait till the CD comes out.

I recently sent an e-mail to my local rock station (KRXQ 98.5) in Sacramento, CA via your list on this site. The next day the dj mentioned that "they were being deluged by faxes, phone calls and e-mails for the new Kiss single Psycho Circus" and "that the Kiss Army was in full force in Sacramento." Obviously others from my area have jumped on the band wagon as well. It was pure joy to finally hear the new song on the radio. Keep sending them in!

Florida -- Jacksonville
From: John Sweatt
WFYV Rock 105 here in Jacksonville, FL played the enitre Psycho Circus album this Saturday night as part of their Saturday Night Six-Pack. They've also average about 4-6 plays a day, and it's getting to be a lot more each and every day. The Circus rolls on!

Florida -- Central Florida
From: Russ Rollins
I am the host of the #1 rated midday show in Central Florida. It's called "The Russ & Bo show" or the "Monsters of the Midday" on Real Radio 104.1. We come on after Howard Stern, and we tear up the air waves until 3:00. It's called a HOT TALK format and we ALWAYS play KISS, and I would love to start promoting the new album, but I need a copy. We had Bruce and John from Union on the show 3 months ago, those are the greatest guys in the world.

Need your help adding a new radio station. You see I live in south Florida and our local radio station doesn't want to add "Psycho Circus". I have E-mailed, phoned, and even Faxed, and they refuse to add the single. These are the Numbers and E mail address: Phone: 800-749-9490 (toll free) Fax: 305-654-0094 E-mail WZTA@Broadcast.com If we can hit this station hard, we can have a pretty good promotion of Psycho Circus down here in S. Florida.

ALLRIGHT ATLANTA.... YOU WANTED THE BEST - ASK FOR THE BEST!!!!!!
Hey guys, I just received this response from Allan Ayo a DJ at 96 Rock in Atlanta, GA. Alan is an old KISS fan - 96 Rock is the premier rock station (and only one that plays KISS - rarely at that). If we are lucky, we get to hear RARAN about 5 times a year and Cold Gin once. Alan says it's because Atlanta KISS fans are lame and never call to request anything. So here is our chance to make a difference. The request line is 404-741-9696. The website is www.96rock.com.

From: Robert Clark
Just wanted to let you know I ran into a smart-ass radio jockey who has refused to play Pycho Circus because he has received like 2000 e-mails. I said well, duh, if you're getting so many e-mails wouldn't that mean there is a demand for the song to be heard? He said the 2000 e-mails are from like the same 25 or 26 people. He said "when the spam stops, the song starts." I told him that's a pretty arrogant attitude to have and that we the listeners should determine what gets played, not you guys. He said "well if everyone wanted to hear it he'd get e-mails from more than 25 people." I said well do think everyone cares to hear "Hole" played all the time? Yet you keep forcing that crap down our throats every half hour. Anyway, hence to say he tried to be very diplomatic about the whole thing. But in the end he just refused to play it. Now I just mentioned this because I thought it was very weird and I don't know if other stations are taking this stance either. But I am definately not hearing the song played anywhere around here. Oh, and by the way that radio station is out of Atlanta, WKLS 96 Rock. Address is webmail@96 rock.com. In case anyone else BESIDES the 25 or 26 people want to send them a nasty e-mail he, he. Anyway, just thought you'd like to know.

Kentucky -- Lexington
From: Andy Gilkison
WKQQ in Lexington began playing the song Psycho Circus and one of the DJ's told me on Sunday that it is the most requested song by far this weekend!

Louisiana -- New Orleans
From: Jerry Songy
There is a war to be won at a radio station. That radio station is WCKW in New Orleans, LA.. My wife was on the phone with DJ Pal Al and said that Sid considered Psycho Circus was unimportant and would not play it. Sid is the guy that says who get played or not. We need to express our concerns to this guy. You can do one or all of three things. Here is the steps to take.
Step 1: Call WCKW at 504-260-9292 to make your request for Psycho Circus. Do this several times if you can. But space them apart.
Step 2: Email them at rock923@wckw.com to make your request. Do this several times a day if possible.
Step 3: You can leave a message on their Message Board. I have already posted a message and I see a few have already done the same. Go to their web site http://www.wckw.com/ and scroll down on the left side.
Please state that you will not stop until Psycho Circus is played in heavy rotation. We need to stick together.

From: Jeff Spence KXLP Radio We at 93 KXLP New Ulm, Mankato MN have added the new KISS song Psycho Circus. and were damn proud of it.

Minnesota -- Minneapolis
From: Pat Spieker
The single "Psycho Circus" has hit the airways! 93X in Minneapolis Minnesota has added the single, and when I spoke with the DJ, he said it was a legal copy, and that it was one of their most requested. He says they've been playing it around every two hours to keep up with the requests. I also spoke with a DJ at Z-92 in Omaha, NE, and he siad they have added it also. I guess it's time to start calling those request lines to show how bad we all want new KISS!!

North Dakota -- Fargo
From: Marc Meeker
The radio station in Fargo North Dakota WQWB 98.7 wont play Psycho Circus. I have requested it quite a few times and the bastards will not play it. All they play is a preview on one of their whats new ad breaks. They said they have the song but they do not play it. They play Metallica like it is going out of style but wont play Kiss. This is very disturbing. I have been waiting to hear this song on my local radio station but they will not play it. Could you help put some pressure on them by adding a blurb to the Kissasylum to all Fargo or local people in the listening area to call in and request this song. I need some help from the Kiss Army on this one.

Ohio -- Akron, Canton, Cleveland
From: Aaron C. Spicer
Hey everyone! I haven't seen any posts out of the Ohio area so here goes!

  • WRQK, of Canton began playing the CD last week, a week ahead of the scheduled radio release. It is now in their hourly rotation. At one report, Todd "The Fishhead" Fisher said that 9 out of 10 requests throughout the day was for Psycho Circus.
  • WNCK of Cleveland was even a week ahead of WRQK, they had begun playing it Aug. 7 at 5p.m. as a world premiere exclusive. It carried through the weekend and into Monday. I spoke to Bill Lewis, radio DJ for WNCX, and told him how great it was that they were ahead of everyone with the exclusive. I also made a request for the song, he agreed to get it into the Classic Cafe at noon and would continue to play it until they got their cease and decist! Also the home of Howard Stern, this station is on my stereo all day now!
  • WMMS in Cleveland......WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?????? They were playing the most KISS as of late even having Gene and Paul stop in to support Carnival of Souls last year. Now all of the sudden nothing. Come on Cleveland, "Raise Your Glasses" and BLOW UP THEIR PHONE LINES. Hey its toll free, everyone call (800) 348 1007
  • WONE in Akron... Ditto on their stand with KISS. Still waiting for their response.

    From: Aaron C. Spicer
Hey Everyone! Just wanted to take this time to give everyone a report on the status on Psycho Circus in the Akron, Canton, Cleveland, Ohio area. I also wanted to thank everyone that has been helping to bombard the radio stations in this area. I tuned into WMMS again starting Friday. Seems that they again are in the midst of changing music formats. But at 1130 am they played Detroit Rock City. So I again began my assault on the station sending 3 faxes and several phone calls and emails. I checked their webpage on Saturday and low and behold Psycho Circus was listed as #7 on their rotation list!!!!! I AM VERY EXTACTIC!!!!! I figured starting Tuesday it will be in the rotation permanently. I have yet to hear it on their station yet! Lets keep up the requests.
In Akron, I have heared Psycho Circus several times throughout the week during the 5pm drive home. Again, sounds like they have been overflooded with phone requests. Im lending a hand in making the assault in other areas as well. Lots of emails and 800 phone call requests.!!!!! WELCOME TO THE SHOW EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to let you know that 94.1 WYSP in Philadelphia, PA debuted Pyscho Circus yesterday. Since then it is has been played heavily. They DJ that debuted it (John DeBella) said that since WYSP announced they were going to have it, the station had been flooded with calls, e-mails and faxes about when it was going to be played. This is good for the Philly area because KISS is not a staple on any of the stations.

    Pennsylvania -- Allentown
    From: LesLeeVan@aol.com
WZZO FM in allentown PA. Hit them hard! This may not be a very well known station, but there signal is very far reaching, though out Southern, Central and North East PA. They do a feature, week nights at 8:00 called the 8:00 cage match, where two new singles are matched against each other, with the outcome decided by call in or e- mail votes. So far our happy little single is a two time winner, by very large margins of victory, and has yet to be officially "added" to the play list! E-Mail them at WZZO@fast.net, and tell them to stop treating Kiss like a red headed step-child, and for once, give the new single a chance. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK,THE ONLINE ARMY CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!

    Tennessee -- Memphis
    From: Bob Rodrick
WMFS (92.9) FM in Memphis, TN added "Psycho Circus" last week. It's played numerous times throughout the day and the DJ's are VERY excited about it. In fact, it's already become the top requested song over new songs by Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson.

    Texas -- Houston
    From: Larry Petro
It seems the rock station in Houston, Texas hasn't figured out what's going on with the new KISS. They have told me each day this week that they don't have it. Sound kinda smelly to me. This station needs to be hit hard. C'mon KISS fans help me out and get this station to play KISS! Rock 101 KLOL klol@klol.com 713-390-5565

Here's an update for all you Houston Kiss Fans...I called KLOL this morning and I was told by a female DJ that they have the single and are "talking" about adding it to their evening playlist!! I quoted her all the statistics about how it's been most added and is getting HEAVY requests, and she really hopes the same thing happens here...Thanks KISS Army and let's keep up the pressure until it's finally added! Who says the voice of the majority has nosay anymore!

    From: roadrage@firstnethou.com
Unfortunately, the efforts to get KLOL in Houston to play Psycho Circus are failing miserably. A DJ there said the station had no intention of playing it, along with a few insulting remarks about Kiss fans. He also said that very few people knew that Kiss was back with the original lineup, or that there was a new album coming out, and that even fewer people cared. Anyway, KLOL has a all-request zone from 10-mid on weeknights. Call 'em up at 713-390-KLOL, or email 'em at programming@klol.com or klol@klol.com. My first message didn't get a response, though -- and it was VERY kind!

    From: roadrage@firstnethou.com
I have sent several faxes and e-mails, and made several phone calls trying to get KLOL to play Psycho Circus (some were more kind than others). To date, no success, although the single's been released for 2 weeks now. I finally decided to try an alternate route, and I encourage other Houstonians to do the same: I'm calling the programming director. I've left one voice mail message so far. His name is Max Dugan, and his phone number is 713-526-6855. Of course, you can still try fax and e-mail (I just did -- again). The fax number is 713-630-3555, and the e-mail addresses are klol@klol.com or programming@klol.com.

    From: Kevin Potts
I wanted to report some success with the Make Em Go Psycho radio campaign: Psycho Circus the single is now being played on KISW, 99.9 FM in Seattle. They were on the list of radio stations to contact that I saw on your Make Em Go Psycho Radio page. I heard it yesterday, and called up the radio station (I'd already sent them an e-mail) to say, "You guys gotta keep that in circulation!" The DJ said, "Really? I'm not that excited about it; I don't share your enthusiasm, but I'm sure we'll be playing it quite a bit." Well, the DJ that said that is known for having bad taste in music (demographically, it's shown that his show is listened to less than any other DJ on KISW; his name is Dan Wilke if any INTELLIGENT Kiss fans want to e-mail him and encourage him otherwise! :o), but he realizes that people are going to want to hear it.
At any rate, some encouragement, because the campaign seems to keep working. We need to keep contacting KISW, though, because they've been known to play new Kiss singles for about two weeks before they drop out of circulation. We need Kiss back where they were in the 70s, where you'd hear a Kiss song at least once an hour!
Feel free to contact me. Please send responses to eldren@camano.net That's not the address I'm typing from now, as I'm at work, and if anyone responds after 2:00 pm Pacific Time, I won't see the e-mail until the next day.

Thought you might find this interesting. All part of the "Make 'em Psycho" campaign: This morning after playing Psycho Circus without any type of introduction, the WAPL (105.7 Appleton, WI) DJs had the following banter:
DJ1: New Kiss, Psycho Cirucs from the album of the same name coming out next month
DJ2: Do you really think anyone wants to hear that? dead air and pause followed by DJ1andDJ2 in unison: "STOP CALLING US!!!! We know you want to hear it. Man, the phones have been ringing off the hook for that one. We will play it. STOP CALLING!"

I contacted my radio station (WWWV 3WV 97.5 , VA) and I was told the first time that they hadn't heard anything about it. When I called later this evening the Jockey told me that the station had elected to wait for the release of the album (Which really bummed me out). She said she didn't have the say in the matter, but would look into it. I say if KISS wants it played they need to put their foot down because there are some stations out here that aren't going to play any KISS. Thought you would like to know. My son and I were really looking forward to hearing the first release.

In May of 97" KISS had scheduled a concert at the Sundome in Yakima on the lost cities tour. But unfortunately the show was canceled. So 94.5 KATS took it upon themselves to boycott their music. The program manager made that call and alot of people were disappointed. Only untill recently they've played Rock and Roll All Nite a couple of times. Now it has come to my attention that the new single "Psycho Circus" wont receive any airplay on 94.5 KATS. Ever since the show was canceled the program manager who's name is Ron is up to his stupid tricks again. He wont play "Psycho Circus" and thats a damnshame! They claim to be the best radio station in central Washington. Well guess what there not! So I'm asking all KISS fans around the country and the world to get hold of KATS 94.5 in Yakima, Washington and tell them if they don't play "Psyhco Circus" that Yakima valley will boycott their radio station and that 94.5 KATS can "KISS our world wide ass" here's their phone number (509)451-KATS (5287).

    From: ghostrider@ewa.net
Ron Harris, program of KATS in Yakima Wa allowed only one airing of Psycho Circus as a premire and that's it.I've talked to all the D.J's there and they claim that they love the song and would play it a couple times daily, but that Ron really is an arrogant, self centered person[his way or no way],and he simply does not care to promote the song or the band. Now everyone in the Yakima Valley knows this and Ron knows it to.How can he not give his loyal listeners what they want?So what if they had to cancel the show,I don't feel that is enough reason to boycott KISS.If say,Page and Plant had a show schedueled, and it was canceled,do you think Ron would boycott their music?, no way would he dare!!! But KISS?,oh yeah. That I say is completely unfair to KISS and especailly the people and loyal listeners in the Yakima Valley. If you are truely out there, call Ron Johnson and let your voice be heard, and make Ron Johnson go PSYCHO to the point of adding it to the daily playlist. Here's the numbe(509)451-KATS(5287) Business office (509)457-8115.

Hi Guys! The Kiss Army in South Africa needs some help! We have a national radio station called 5FM in South Africa that commands the nation's largest listenership. Because of their size, they are a little arrogant and don't 'believe' the numbers of the Kiss Army. Please can I ask every one that reads this to send mail to music@5fm.co.za and ask them to add Psycho Circus to their playlist. All help will be greatly appreciated - especially to prove a point to these arrogant bastards!

    From: Per Jacobsson
Great work on hyping Psycho Circus in any possible way. The radio-list does the job, for USA only I must add. Kiss are once again making the same mistake they have made year after year in Europe - no promotinal activities for an upcoming album whatsoever, no presscoverage, no radioplay - no nothing. Kiss sold out fairly well in Europe during the last tour but as they headed back for the states, people believed there would never be Kiss again. And unlike the USA, people think KISS are dead (people actually thought KISS were dead between 1980 up to the reuninon tour - that's how low the media-hype is). So now that Psycho Circus is set for success in the US, it is most likely to disappear in the huge amount of soul and dance that dominates the European climate. I can assure you, as rock/metal is mostly non-existant in Europe. Therefore, I'm writing you see if there is any way we can push people into contributing with E-mail addresses to European radiostations. We need it urgently. We need activities in Germany, France, Spain, Norway, Finland(great fans), Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, UK and Sweden to go through the big regions.
