PAUL STANLEY, lead singer of the legendary rock band KISS, has come to the aid of the Fishers, Indiana fourth grade Youth Travel Baseball Team - the HSE Fishers Cats! Stanley donated one of his signature model Washburn guitars to help the team raise money to help offset some expenses of their upcoming summer season. The autographed Paul Stanley 'Preacher' guitar will be raffled off at the 2009 Indianapolis KISS Fan Expo on March 15th. 100% of all proceeds from sales of raffle tickets will go to the team.
For more than 35 years, Stanley has reigned supreme as one of the single-most recognizable frontmen in the history of rock and roll. He's the principal songwriter, driving force and the unwavering voice of KISS, one of the most successful and influential bands ever born on American soil. The band has sold over 90 million albums worldwide and began recording a new album just this week. Last year KISS packed stadiums across Europe on their most successful European tour ever! 2009 will see KISS tour stadiums in South America and Canada before returning to the US for a late fall Tour.
As he celebrates his 35th anniversary as the lead singer of KISS, Stanley is making another name for himself as a painter and artist. Recently, he celebrated more than $3-million in sales of his paintings in 2008. Stanley regularly appears at exhibitions of his paintings at various Wentworth Gallery locations across the country.
Stanley's connection to the team is Cats' player Joshua Leroux, son of Keith Leroux, who handles digital media for KISS (Paul Stanley.com, KISSonline.com, KISS' Myspace and Facebook pages). He also serves as KISS brand consultant to the ever growing number of licensees that release merchandise of the Iconic rock group. KISS has over 2500 licenses worldwide including t-shirts, sneakers, jeans, games, puzzles, tooth brushes, blankets, posters, trading cards, lamps, and the KISS Coffeehouse in Myrtle Beach, SC.
