Star Brothers Approached By Major Label And Declare KISS Appreciation Day
From: Hard Rock Reality

Rock Star's and Super Star's effort of bringing together all their childhood heroes to tell the story of their battle with drug addiction to the masses has not gone unnoticed. "We have recently been approached by a major record label and had to turn them away," says Super Star. According to Super, they did this because they have devised an ingenious idea that will be unprecedented in order to get this CD into as many hands as possible.

"This CD is not about making money; it's about making kids and anyone else who has to live with the dreaded disease of addiction understand that being sober is the ultimate high." Don't let these two fool you. They came from nothing. Having worked odd jobs starting at the age of 12 picking apples in their hometown of Marion, NY, as well as digging ditches and working in the field of metal fabrication, these two have paid their dues with dead-end jobs. After realizing that there might be more to life than working long hours for little pay, the twins then went on to receive higher degrees of education which led them both to individually start their own successful firms in Chicago.

In fact, Super Star was one of the first 20,000 people in the world to receive the Windows 2000 MCSE certification. However, that career was short lived because Super Star wound up with a serious problem - a super drug addiction that nearly cost him his life. However, when asked, he claims he wouldn't change a thing about his past. "I am where I am today and helping all these people because I have been fortunate enough to come out the other side alive." Super Star is right; most do not.

Super Star and Rock Star changed their names in order to raise awareness to their mission and credit Kiss as the influence in everything that they do.

"Someone emailed me recently and told me I was a fool for changing my name and it made me giggle," says Super Star. Besides being in disbelief that someone would try to dissuade him and his brother from helping troubled and at-risk youths, Super Star goes on to state that "This person's dad was probably the guy who told Kiss that their make-up was a joke, so it gives me that much more determination to prove them wrong. "We are smart enough to do whatever opens doors for us," exclaims Rock Star, just as Kiss did. "Something as little as changing our names has opened many doors for us. Sometimes I find it fascinating when people don't get it," says Super Star.

Whether their silly names, their endearing mission, or just the likeableness of these two guys, it was enough to attract the attention of some heavy hitters in the music industry - a few of them being members of Kiss. "Yeah, people think we paid all these musicians to be on our CD and think we must be trust fund babies. That one always makes me laugh," says Super Star. "If only people knew how broke I was and that I had to sell my car to help make this happen and am STILL having to ask my brother for rides." “Do you know how much I hate that?", Super Star says. "Super Star and I both will admit we suck as musicians, but we have a good sense of what sounds good and a clear message and what better way is there to sell a message on sobriety than through music? Why do you think we have only the best playing alongside us? It's because we can't," jokingly says Rock Star. Most of the musicians they are working with have donated their time because they believe in this dynamic duo. In 6 months, these guys have made more happen for themselves than most people only dream of. It's truly an inspiration and I personally am looking forward to their reality show that I am pretty sure must be just around the corner. Right, guys?

To show all the KISS fans how much their emails and enthusiasm are appreciated, Rock Star and Super Star declare KISS Appreciation Day at the Bu Fest in Malibu, California. Event Dates are May 30 & 31, 2009 at the Paramount Ranch in Malibu. Anyone who comes up to their booth wearing a Kiss t-shirt (where they will be recruiting kids for their next "Rehearsal Workshop" and handing out their literature ), will receive a FREE raffle ticket to a guitar that Rock Star will be raffling off at the event.

"Listen, anyone reading your article must is a Kiss fan, right?" asks Rock Star. "And the fact that they read it and knew it was about us, means we got their attention and we did something right and most importantly, means they must be supporting us. What better way is there to show them how much we appreciate them than by giving them a chance to win a great guitar?" I don't know, sounds like a no brainer to me. Although I am not permitted to tell you the details just yet, Super Star let me in on a little secret and let me tell you, you ain't seen nothing yet!
