Well, I've been a fan since I was 2. My sister gave me Lovegun and it was all over. I started playing drums at 4 as a result (I'm 35 now). My sister passed away when I was 6, and I still have that original Love Gun tape to this day. I know that doesn't tie in with the tattoo, but it's a cool story.

I have always thought their imagery would certainly work great for a tattoo, but I didn't want to do a "self portrait" type like many people. I worked with images from the KISS 4K comic and with my artist at Topnotch Tattoo in Elgin, IL and came up with this scheme. I met Paul at an art exhibit, and Gene at winter NAMM and they both were very impressed with the work. I got it done between May and August of 08, It probably took about 40 hours all together.
