Former KISS star Peter Criss is putting his breast cancer battle behind him by taking part in a charity walk to raise money for the fight against the disease.
The veteran rocker was diagnosed with the illness in 2008 and subsequently spoke of his embarrassment at contracting a condition more commonly associated with women.
Criss has vowed to help fight the stigma surrounding male breast cancer and is throwing his support behind the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign.
The 64 year old will take part in a charity walk in New Jersey on October 17 and is urging fans to get involved.
He says, "On October 17th, I will be walking for the American Cancer Society, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. I would love for you to join me in this walk to help save lives and bring awareness to men and women about this disease... If you can't walk with us please make a donation for support. As a breast cancer survivor, I THANK YOU!!!"
