Don't forget, KISS will be performing on Dick Clark's Rocking New Years Eve on ABC. The KISS Asylum will have a special treat for those that will not be able to catch this great event.
From: Kissfucco I was told right before KISS goes onstage on New Years they are going to show a documentry video on the band. Also the Dick Clark segment was taped in Atlanta a few months back.
From: Karen While watching Rangers hockey. Rangers vs Dallas, every time a fight broke out the arena Music would play ALL HELL'S BREAKIN LOOSE. It was really cool and very fitting.

From: Dan Miller Caught the Worcester show last night. Sorry I can't write a review but I'm obligated to be elsewhere in a few minutes. Here's a few headlines from the show that should interest you: Kiss opens with "Deuce," but follows with "C'mon and Love Me" and "Let Me Go Rock 'n Roll." "King of the Night Time World" is moved back later in the set. "Detroit Rock City" closes the regular set and "Black Diamond" is now the first encore. Those are the major changes. No other surprises. "I Stole Your Love" is still in the mix, but "I Was Made for Loving You" is out. Guess they only were going to play that in Europe.

From: Michel Sluyter I just read in an english magazine called Metal Hammer that Alice in Chains will support Kiss in Japan. This was told to Metal Hammer by Mike Inez from Alice in Chains. He also said that they really enjoyed the first concerts with Kiss.
From: ccastle@hiline.net on the Jets and Dolphins game, they showed some fans holding a banner that read KISS Kotite Good-Bye, referring to the head coach. The four fans also had a sign that said Merry Kissmas and they were each wearing a paper bag over their heads with the KISS faces on them. The anouncer then said "Kotite's departure had Jets fans wanting to Rock 'n Roll All Night and Party Every Day".

From: MtlEdge (Gerri Miller) Bruce Kulick finally got a computer and an aol account--his screen name is Bruce Kool. He will be posting here (AOL bbs) shortly! P.S. I spoke to Gene today, about the particulars of the next KISS special magazine (new photos, interviews, contests, etc.). It will be out in April. (KA Note: Gerri also mentioned that she was to have an interview with Bruce Kulick and John Corabi (Bruce's new partner in crime) tomorrow to appear in a future issue of Metal Edge.
I talked to Gerri Miller some more today about Bruce and she said: "Bruce has a killer new computer. I was with him today while he read e-mail and some of the board posts. I heard five songs in various stages of completion and they're great, ranging from mellow acoustic to hard rock. Both Bruce and John are excited about what they're doing and in a great frame of mind."
Gerri Also added this:
From: KState66 I saw a clip with an advertisment about The Dennis Miller Show starting again in Jan. Anyway, he said something like, "I'm glad I get paid well, so I can have a house big enough for all of my Ace Frehley memoribilia." Did anyone elsesee this?
Don't forget to visit Originals Online here at The KISS Asylum. Their new winter issue has come out and you can see the cover and a list of what is inside right here.
You may have to register to read this article. It is easy and free to do.
From: Duncan Hamilton Just let you know Shirley Manson from Garbage was a guest Dj on BBC Radio 1 last night and was saying how 96 was so great and that they got to meet all their heros in one year. mentioned bowie and others then said how Gene stood at the front of a show of theirs and was looking up her skirt and waggling "his famous eight inch tongue", then she had to tell him off in front of the whole crowd and he "slunk away" but came backstage after the show and asked for autographs etc. Is this Gene's famous technique for getting women. Or does he waggle his wallet?
From: Matt Sims Gene Simmons was in an ad on EW magazine. On celebrities Hits&Pits. This is what the ad said:

From: Rob Blood Last thursday (Dec 19th) it was announced that a Latin American tribute album will be out early next year, titled "GrÌtalo fuerte" (Spanish for Shout it ou loud), that will feature such artists as Soda Stereo, Azul Violeta, and the such. It was also said that the 2nd KISS tribute festival will be next month in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After that, they showed four videos: Shout It Out Loud, I Love It Loud, All Hell's Breaking Loose (Including Vinnie and his cool "strike-a-chord-point-a-finger-at-you-strike-again" thing) and Unholy, in that order. It was promised that next week we'll have an update, and I'll be sure to give it to you if it happens.

Christmas Day |
Merry Christmas boys and girls! Santa decided to skip a few dorky kids' houses to digitize a Quicktime movie for you. The movie is a 30 second clip of KISS (with Eric Carr) playing "The Oath" on the now defunct show, "Fridays"; this is one and only live performance of that song EVER! Wow. Anyway, enjoy and have a Merry KISSmas! John and Chris White
From: Joe (KISS Hell Online) Ace Frehley's Greatest Hits CD 12 Picks" will be released from Mayhem Fierce Recordings/Megaforce (late March/early April) The CD will include 6 unreleased live songs (from Live+1 sessions) incuding "Cold Gin" "Shock Me" & "Deuce" along with 6 studio cuts from Ace's solo albums.
From: Cld Jhen (KAOL CD Tribute Page) The Kiss reunion tour proved to be a rare success in a bleak year for concerts... Looking at the top-grossing tours of 1996, you might see different acts atop the lists in the various tour-industry magazines. "Amusement Business," "Pollstar" and "Performance" all take different approaches to compiling their lists depending on whether they count domestic or international shows, and how late their cut-off date is. While the Eagles reunion tour tops the global tally, for the U.S. the Kiss reunion tour appears to be the winner, with over $40 million and 88 shows. Alanis Morrissette played a similar number of shows, but due to smaller venues and lower prices, took in just over $21 million to come in at number six on the "Performance" magazine tally, which has Ozzy Osbourne at number nine, with $20 million from 96 shows. "Performance" says this year's top 10 earned a total of $257 million, down from 1995's $339 million. The magazine blames the slump on the absence of the Grateful Dead and big stadium tours.
By David Bauder, Associated Press Writer New York (AP) -- It wasn't a particularly good year for people in the concert industry -- unless you happened to breathe fire, spit blood and wear a lot of greasepaint. Kiss' reunion tour was the top money-earner for 1996, taking in $43.6 million and beating acts like Garth Brooks, Neil Diamond and Rod Stewart, the concert industry trade publication Pollstar reported Wednesday. The top acts on the concert circuit in 1996, with their estimated total gross in concert tickets, according to the industry trade publication Pollstar. Consumers spent an estimated $1.05 billion on concerts during 1996, Pollstar said. That's up slightly from the $950 million in 1995 but not approaching the record $1.4 billion set in 1994. The increased dollar volume was largely due to higher ticket prices and masked a particularly weak showing for many veteran artists out on the road, said Gary Bongiovanni, Pollstar editor. Kiss was the spectacular exception. The band reunited its original members, donned the cumbersome costumes and used truckloads of special effects for 92 dates -- leaving sellouts in their wake. "Probably everybody except (Kiss member) Gene Simmons was surprised by how strong that was," Bongiovanni said. The summer's other high-profile rock reunion -- of the Sex Pistols -- didn't even register in Pollstar's top 50 concert draws. The concert circuit was flooded this summer with stars of the 1970s -- Styx, Kansas, Steely Dan, Steve Miller, Chicago and Crosby,Stills and Nash. Many played to a lot of open seats. "The '70s acts didn't work, except for the Eagles and Kiss,"said Jim Koplik of Metropolitan Entertainment, one of the Northeast's top promoters. "The '70s, I think ... are over. There were a lot of '70s acts out last year and I think most promoters will stay away next year." Artists demanded increased guaranteed payments to perform this year, Bongiovanni said. That forced promoters to raise ticket prices, turning off all but the acts' most fanatic followers, Bongiovanni said. It's been a down year in general for the music industry. Compact disc sales are flat and many in the business wonder if any artists will emerge to lift them out of the doldrums.

From: Juern (KISS Kollector) As you may know, KISS are confirmed for two big festivals in germany 1997, sponsored and aired by MTV Europe, called "Rock am Ring"/"Rock im Park". Both Festivals take place at the same three days, which are may 16./17./18th 1997. The billing for the festivals are as follows and already announced to the public by adds: KISS (of course), Aerosmith, Supertramp (back on the planet, too), Die Aerzte, Fugees, Neneh Cherry, Live, Kula Shaker, Corrosion of conformity and Silverchair. KISS will of course headlining both festivals on two different dates: 16th of may Rock im Park (Nurenberg), 18th of may Rock am Ring (Formula 1-Rink Nuerburgring/Eifel)
More dates for KISS in Germany are:
Fans who are interested to go to Hamburg should travel by plane or train, as it is very difficult to get to the venue even on non-festival days, due to a lot of traffic and less than 00 parking-lots. Hamburg has a very good bus and tram-system, you all should make frequent use of it!
From: John Reece The facilities at the Continental Airlines Arena are very inferior. There is no lounge and beer lines are @#*ing ridiculous!! Myself and several friends and associates from Stiletto and Lace in NJ are meeting for a pre-show cocktail party at a very cool bar & restaurant called the Stadium Sports Cafe. I am friends with the owner and I promise he will show us a great time!!! It is only 2 miles from the arena and it is easy to access from which ever direction you are coming from. Please e-mail me and let me know if you might want to go so I can give the owner some idea of what to expect.

From: NJKissFan As far as a new studio album, he said the band has been seriously discussing it, but has not yet decided on whether to do one. Peter said personally, he'd love to do one, and he thinks it would be the best material they've ever done b/c they're so focused now and clear-headed. He had a few really good one-liners. For instance, I asked him what he and the other 3 are doing differently now to avoid the problems that drove them apart the first time around. "I'm not as high!" he said. "I liked cocaine perfectly fine; a lot of people did in the 70s. That's why we wore bell bottoms."

From: Doug Cataldo (Tape Covers / Vinnie Vincent Homepage) Went to comic book show in Las Vegas today where Todd Mcfarlane toys had a booth. They had photos of the Kiss toys and I must say that they are awesome! Each has real hair not molded plastic and they have cool weapons and gadgets. The most notable is Gene's Axe Bass complete with spattered blood on it. They look to be a tad taller that Spawn figs due to the platform boots. Other things I noticed was that Ace had tubes attaching from his back to his torso, and Gene was sticking out his tongue with a very wicked look. The outfits were very detailed and they look incredible. Also in a room full of Comic vendors not a Kissnation was to be found.

From: Mats Vassfjord Thought I'd let you know that MTV Europe's Headbangers Ball aired the official Kiss show, Second Coming, last night. This is the half hour show Kiss put together for tv-stations worldwide. Note: this is not the same as the Live History-one, broadcasted on Japanese tv a few weeks back, that I thought was the official one. This show is a really rad thing to watch. It starts off with early stills from Wicked Lester and, pretty much works itself through to the reunion tour, but, unlike the Live History-show, Second Coming completely ignores the 80's and half the 90's. Pretty much like the tourbook does. Second Coming features alot of various live clips, interviews, reunion stuff, and it even features a very short footage of Kiss rehearsing for the new tour, incl. a clip of Paul in platforms at rehearsal. Unbelievable!!! It's very well done graphically and it's narrated. If anybody wants more info, or is interested in a copy, please "e" me.
KISS should be on MTV's Year in Rock special on this weekend
From: Bjorn-Steinar Johnsen The outdoor show at Valle Hovin Stadion is now moved indoors, due to "too much daylight in Norway in June". It said that the sun sets at about 22.37, and that the concert would have to be finished at 22.30. Well this is the official reason, but when considering the fact that they only sold 6000 tickets the first week, and that the sunlight in Sweden is exactly the same (but those two shows are now sold out and still very much happening ), there may be another reason for this change of venue....... I also have to add that the show in Oslo, Norway on December 8th was by far the best show I've seen on this tour (I've seen three shows now....Donington, Wembley and Oslo), and as far as the guys are concerned, thay seems to be having the time of their lives, especially Paul and Peter. Paul laughed all through the show (started singing "We are family" with the rest of the guys moving along, and Peter came out for the encores fully dressed in a Viking helmet, and started running all around the stage! Great!!
From: Philippe Anthonis A "KISS news" I can offer you happened only a couple of days ago, when they played in Brussels, Belgium. Of course, they have a great show, but the must fun I had was when, at the begining of their show, the fuckin'KISS-curtain not only came down, but just fell on the floor?. Hilarious! People might wonder how such a thing can happen... no wonder that stuff happens when four of their technicians were arrested for the possession of drugs, while travelling from Amsterdam to Brussels by train.
From:fusion Someone wrote to you telling you of how hillarious it was when the Kiss curtain fell to the floor in front of the stage, and how fucked up the technicians and crew must have been. That is part of the show. That is the only way to get the curtain out from in front of the stage fast enough for the other cues. I saw it several times from the front row, and it was hardly a mistake. [KA Note: I knew it was not a mistake...I just posted the note because it talked about techs getting arrested for drugs etc.]
From: Jan You misunderstood the info the guy from Belgium gave you (probably because his English wasn't very clear). What happened was that right before 9 pm before KISS was on stage the curtain fell down. (the one with the KISS logo on it). The curtain behind that one was still in place, but Gene made them put the front one back up, which took them about 20 minutes so the show started over 20 minutes late. When it was back up they did the introduction, started the first chords to Deuce and then the curtain went down again as part of the show. Hope this clears things up. Just forgot to tell you about the drug bust. It wasn't hard drugs. The four roadies went up to Amsterdam, Holland by train and bought marihuana there (it is legal here in Holland). The stupid thing they did was they took it back by train to Belgium where it is illegal. It is well known foreigners and especially French people make these drug runs so this train is usually checked carefully when it enters Belgium. So they got caught with 150 grams, which ofcourse is rather a lot. That amount would actually be illegal and considered commercial use as opposed to recreational use here in Holland (I think you're allowed to have up to 30 grams). They had to spend the night in jail and were released the next day. Don't know if there were any repercussions from Paul and Gene though. I think I read somewhere there was a clause in the personnel contract which prohibited drugs and alcohol.

From: Frank Auletti Just read daily news HOT COPY section it read as follows: Remember the KISS photos from the Spin covers? Well, Gene wanted to put a new spin on some of those old images. He wanted to use those shots for the cover of another mag. spin's rival Rolling Stone. And, let's just say, Genes' request to Spin honcho Bob Guccione Jr. went about as well as O.J. signing an endorsement deal with Bruno Magli. Even though gene wanted the shots for R.S.s' Austrailian issue, guccione gave him a sterm no. the kiss covers were spins bestsellers this past year. According to a source , some outakes and even shots used on the inside of the magazines could be purchased- on a one-time basis - for an alleged fee of $30,000. thats when it seems Gene KISSED the idea goodbye .
From: Paul Emmett Duece, I'm sure you already know, but on my local radio station 105.1 WTAO eported Gene as saying he has offered to replace ALL 1st editions of KISStory that have faulty bindings with the new updated edition w/ Ace and Peter signatures. From: Paul Emmett "Small Fire Really Heats Up KISS Tribute Show" by Jon Davies; Printed Daily Herald Mon Dec. 2nd 1996 A fire apparently started by a band's pyrotechnics scorched a roof beam early Sunday morning at Shade's restaurant and bar near Vernon Hills, fire officials said. The fire at Shade's, Milwaukee Avenue and Aptakistic Road in unincorporated Lake County, occurred about 12:45 a.m., during a tribute to the rock band KISS. A Shade's employee suffered a minor burn when he attempted to extinguish the fire, said Ted Tarr, chief of the Vernon Fire Protection District. The employee was not taken to a hospital, Tarr said. The fire apparently was started by a flash pot that was part of the band's pyrotechnic display, Tarr said. "When it went off, it must have had too strong a mixture," he said. "It popped a couple of ceiling tiles and started a roof joist on fire." The joist was "just scorched" and was structurally sound, he said. The fire was contained to the stage area, Tarr said. A Buffalo Grove police officer on patrol spotted smoke coming from the roof of Shade's at 12:48 a.m.,Buffalo Grove police said. Vernon Fire Protection District fire fighters were dispatched to the fire at 12:45 a.m.,fire officials said. Also responding were Long Grove Fire Department fire fighters and police from Buffalo Grove and Lincolnshire. **Just a few extra notes: --The fire door was chained closed, leaving only one exit. --The burning tiles were falling on the drum kit causing alot of damage. --The fire started during "Shout it Out Loud" probably from the explosion at the beginning of the song, or possibly from the fire breathing from a song earlier. --They did not continue and we didn't get our seven bucks back!! --After the fact a very humorous experience, however very scary at the time!
From: Dominique Proteau I got the name of the magazine wich has Alanis Morisette on the cover wearing Paul's makeup! The name of the mag is REQUEST! And it is supposed to be sold in the USA so you should have it near you... Try to find a copy, it is pretty amazing!
From: Greg Davies I just thought I'd drop you all a line and let you know a couple of things I have heard: 1: During Bruce's & Eric's recent Australian Clinic Concert Tour, Bruce stated that he had written one of his unreleased songs in Perth on the band's last tour in '95 (I think the song was called Liar - correct me if I'm wrong!) 2: I have also heard that KISS will not be bringing their whole stage show to Australia in '97, but a scaled down version of it. I have e-mailed Frontier Touring to find out the accuracy of this info but have so far not recieved a reply! If anyone knows any info on this, don't hesitate to e-mail me! 3: Also, HM magazine in Australia (I have reported on them before, they usually bag on KISS all the time and print falsified info on the band) featured a small article on Bruce just after the Concert Clinic tour in Australia. They also have forms available for their Reader's Poll! If any of you Aussie fans want to have your say about how much you like KISS, just send in a copy of the form to the mag.

From: Rene Brink By the way, because this show (december 10th) sold out in 15 minutes, kiss is doing an extra concert in Holland on june 22th in Utrecht.
From Kai at KISS Konfidential I'm enclosing two great pictures of yesterdays concert in Norway (8.12.96). I wasn't there, so I can't write an review of the concert. In "Dagbladet" Kiss got 5 of 6, and in "VG" they got 3 of 6. Kiss will be back at 18th of June 1997. Both photos appeared in the "Dagbladet" newspaper. Gene Image #1 Gene Image #2
From: Chet, McFarlane Toys Spokesfigure via KISS Otaku Yep, it's finally official. They've signed the contract, and it looks like, by April, KISS toys will be on the shelves. Which shelves are still in negotiation, but for sure music stores will carry them if the toy chains refuse to. The characters are: Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. Each comes with "real" rooted hair, and a musical instrument/weapon. Features and cost are still being worked out, but they should be as tall or taller than the regular Spawn figures. I guess that means we're KISSing up... Each will come separately on a card, with no rare figures. Again, that doesn't mean there won't be hard-to-find figures, but we're making the same number of each member of the band.
From: Mats Vassfjord Just came to mind that I got some onfo this weekend on the remasters. Release date for Europe is mid-February. No word yet on the packaging, though. Also they will be out, remastered, on vinyl in the states and Japan. No date yet, though, but the vinyl will include all the collectors stuff that was in the original ones.

Here's to you having a TWISTED HOLIDAY SEASON!
From: Gerri Miller of Metal Edge Magazine I can finally announce what I've known for some time: Bruce Kulick and John Corabi are working together! They're writing and demoing songs and will put a band together later on--they're both playing guitar, and Bruce is playing bass, and Bruce's friend Curt is laying down the drums. "The writing is going really well, we're both into the same styles of music and we're excited to be working together," Bruce says, adding that it's the kind of music that will appeal to fans of both KISS and Motley Crue but not specifically like either band. More details as I get them.
From: GodoThndr KISS makes the Rolling Stone Year End Edition twice: on page 45 with a picture and quote from Paul and on page 64 with a blurb about reunion tours and how KISS "became the mother of all'96 concert events." There is also a cool illustration of Gene. RS seems to be talking more favorably about the guys lately - it's nice to see them eat crow.
From:GodoThndr The other night at a bar I picked up a copy of "Jam Rag" a free Detroit newspaper /fanzine that details the local music scene. It had Dick Wagner (ex-Alice Cooper) on the cover and an interview inside. Check this out: Q: What tracks did you play on KISS' DESTROYER album? A: I played on "Beth" and "Sweet Pain." I played on one of the last KISS records, REVENGE or something like that. I can't remember titles, but I played on a track on one of those later albums. Now it's common knowledge that Wagner played on "Sweet Pain," when Ace was in the ozone, but I had no idea that he played on Revenge. Has anyone else heard this before? Was Ezrin bringing his old buddy in because he was unhappy with Bruce's playing like he was w/ Ace? What song did Wagner play on?

Megaforce Records will be releasing a collection of six studio cuts for the four Ace Frehley Megaforce albums and six unreleased live tracks from his sold out concerts at London's Hammersmith Odeon in 1989. No track listing or release date available yet.
From: David Swayne Quote from Paul Stanley in the December 1996 issue of Rolling Stone:
"I came to the realization that America is thirsty for entertainment,
and I have brought them rock and roll Gatorade. These are millions of people
who want more than what they've been getting, and I want to make sure that
they don't leave the table until they're full. A couple of night's ago, this
fabulous-looking girl took off all her clothes and threw them onstage. And
let's put it this way: It wasn't anyone you'd ask to put them back on. Life on the road really has never changed - it is the ultimate buffet. It's just a matter of 'Do you want to eat?' And at this point, I do a lot more looking. Marriage can do that." [KA Note: Yes! very cool!! =)]
From: Kai Roen of KISS Konfidential There will be an Kiss-Evening at Rockefeller Music Hall, Oslo, Norway tomorrow (8.12.96). The doors open at 12.00 and there will be dealers, contests and lots of music, including Kiss tribute band PARAZITE. They will continue the gathering afther the concerts. Kiss have got much promotion in the media/press in Norway. Tv ads for GREATEST KISS, reports on TV2 21.00 news, contests on NRK "Topp 20" and "Go' Elg" (prizes : tickets to the show + GREATEST KISS cd's). Even the Norwegian tribute band PARAZITE played live in studio at NRK' "Go' Elg" show yesterday.
From: Jeff Garland I was talking to a local record store owner today who says he has "connections" with the band. He said that there is not going to be a show in Hawaii. GENE wants to play Hawaii but cannot make a deal with any of the local promoters.
From: Erik 'Dragon Attack', the Queen tribute cd was released in Europe yesterday. As everybody knows by now, it's got Bruce & Eric doing the track Save Me, with Jeff Scott Soto on leadvocals, Ricky Philips on bass, Michael Sherwood on piano and...Bob Kulick plays rhythmguitar. Actually, Bob Kulick plays rhythm on all tracks. It's a killer record, with other big names as weel: members of Motorhead, Dream Theater, Whitesnake, MSG, Anthrax...go get it!
There is a new review of this guitar in my KISS Views section. Check it out!
From: Johan Froberg KISS announced a second date in Stockholm, 15th June ¥97 due to the sell-out of the first date, 14th, which BTW was the quickest sell-out ever in Sweden.
From: Reagan Hayes Kiss are on the cover in their make-up with You wanted the best you got the best over there picture.
The article reads...
From: Ted Schmitz 1)there are a few things i have for update, first, there are 2 new videos out, that as far as i know, can be ordered through musicland stores. they are not official releases but are put out by the same people who put out the "interview sessions" video. 2)there is a cover version of "i was made for loving you" on the macarena club cutz cd. it is by a band/artist called chill. it has rap verses (diff. lyrics rapped) and a lady singing kiss' chorus. 3)on the back of the nirvana "nevermind" cd, there is a small picture of kiss, as on the love gun album, within the chunks o' meat just above the monkeys head/neck area. 4)this is cool! musicland stores feature a free with purchase magazine called request. this months issue just came in and it has alanis morrissette on the cover in paul stanley make-up and leather studded costume. check' em out!!

From: Bob Rodrick This letter was in the Goldmine letter section of a recent issue:
Your article says KISS did the Diplomat Hotel then Bill Aucoin got them a deal and the rest is history. Thanks! Sean Delaney Pheonix, AZ
From: Charlie Zost Just in case you guys didn't know, the boots are now included in the Champion Boot page. They look very cool! http://www.championboot.com
From: Jason Dymond I just wanted to let you know that we are having a KISS pez giveaway! It is our turn to give something back to the KISS collectors out there. I wanted to give everyone a fair chance at getting that collectible we sometimes can't always afford. There has been so many times I had to pass up incredible hard to find merchandise(and i still do!) because I needed the money. I'm sure we've all been there before.I can honestly say that a huge portion of what my business brings in "Vintage Daze" has been re-invested towards my own personal KISS collection. I wanted to thank all of the collectors whom i've traded with, purchased stuff from us and to all of the dealers that had to put up with us when we're out there buying KISS stuff!. This KISS pez giveaway is just a way to say THANK YOU! Jason Dymond & Deborah McHugh http://members.aol.com/sacryed/vintage/frontpage.htm
From: Svante Hellstadius Just wanted to tell you that there's a new KISS ticket sale going on in Sweden today. The tickets were released at 9 AM local time. It seems like a new disaster, the ticket system went down directly. On Parasite (http://www.student.nada.kth.se/~d95-she/kiss/index.html), there's already some stuff about it. I'd appriciate a link to the page, cause I'll be filling in what really happened when I get more info from different parts of the country. There's some stuff about the previous ticket scandal there as well.

There is a new long review of the KISSNATION comic in my "Views" Section. You can view it here.
From: Scott Wheeler I just picked up a copy of a new kiss book called "Kiss Live!" (It's an english import, so the trademark thunderbolt ss is missing). It's a good book, containing full color pix from the beginning up to the current reunion along with a brief history. there's some good pix of eric carr along with some really bad mid 80's pix of gene. the book is available at tower records and is published by omnibus press (http://www.musicsales.co.uk) and sells for 9.95
From: Frank Auletti I just read page 3 of New York Daily News. There was a nationwide poll of 1,011 adults conducted over the fall and believe it or not....KISS was voted the band most americans would ban. With all the @#$%^&* that is out there how can they pick on the #1 grossing band in America?
From: Johan Froberg [from the Swedish newspaper Sydsvenska Dagbladet 29th November] Question: what do you get if you add Peter Criss, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and 25 kilo of make-up??? KISS RETURNS AGAIN! Are you one of them that failed to get tickets to KISS concerts in Sweden in December? Don't worry-the band returns this summer. June 14th the original members plays the Stockholm Stadion. Nothing is ready though about a visit to Copenhagen Denmark, we keep you informed. KISS promises even more blood, make-up and pyros for the summer tour which sounds impossible as the winter tour contains 200 litres of fake blood, 25 kilo of make-up and pyros worth 6,3 million Swedish krones (>1 million dollars).
From: Jim Pearson I just saw a Star Trek related KISS cartoon in the latest issue of Starlog Magazine. It has Picard and Riker talking about "On the Enterprise, we tolerate many cultural diversities (or something), but these people have got to go!" while pointing at Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter in Starfleet uniforms. The toon was done by Mike Fisher, who is one of their strangest, and best artists. It's a scream!
From: Jani Vare I have recently noticed that 'I Was Made For Loving You' has been a sort of theme music in a finnish TV's sports program called 'Hockey Night'.
From: Jani Vare Kiss will play one date in FINLAND next summer. They will play in Hartwall-Arena, Helsinki on Monday June the 16th. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday the 4th of December. I heard this from finnish radio and it has been advertised on the Finland's largest paper Helsingin Sanomat as well. It will be the first time for Peter and Ace to visit Finland.

From: Bjorn-Steinar Johnsen Well the official news that KISS would play some Stadium in Scandinavia next summer, was in today's edition of VG, Norway's biggest paper. It was an official ad for Gunnar Eide AS who presents all shows here. It said that KISS will play Valle Hovin Stadium on Wednesday June 18th!!! Tickets go on sale this Tuesday the 3rd of December (smart! It's before the indoor show here on Sunday...so the papers who always put KISS down (basically VG and Dagbladet) won't do too much damage to the sales of this upcoming show by telling everyone how hard KISS suck!!!! You should have read the Birmingham review!! Doors open at 16.30, showtime 17.30!! What I can't figure out is how they can make this a cool event when the sunlight here around that time in June goes down about 10PM. It won't be real dark until 10.30PM, and there propably is an 11PM curfew......well we'll just have to wait and see......
About a month ago Paul Guillemette asked me to post up a survey dealing with the Carnival of Souls album. The survey just ended a few days ago and Paul has graciously given us the FULL statistical breakdown of the survey. Great job Paul! So if you are a fan of the unreleased album, or even if you are not a fan of the album, I encourage all to check out what others have said about it and what they liked and disliked about it. It really is interesting.....and very telling!. Click here to see the final results of the "Carnival of Souls" survey.
