KAOL 2 Tribute CD Rules
RULES:

1) There will be a $150 entry fee per AOL/internet artist appearing on the CD. Duos and bands with multiple online members will receive a special rate in effort to accomodate them better. **See below This is each individual's cost of mastering, pressing, and song licensing for the initial 1000 copies. This will be reimbursed to you in the form of CD's, should you wish to recover your initial investment with private sales. If you are chosen to appear on the sequel CD, you will have 2 weeks from the time of your acceptance to submit your payment or your spot will be forfeited and given to someone else.

2) All songs MUST be sent on both a DAT and a standard cassette. Songs sent on one format only will not be considered. Tapes will not be returned.

3) All material submitted must be from a KISS group album. No solo material will be considered at this time.

4) Your song must be one that was not already covered in the original KAOL CD.

5) Deadline for audition tapes has now been extended to October 20th.

Your acceptance or rejection will rely heavily upon your production and performance. Some entries may be accepted upon the condition of a remix or some other production request. As the standards for this sequel are high, song entries will be judged very carefully. Although each performer has complete artistic control concerning their style and sound, I am specifically looking for GOOD drum productions and high quality vocals.

If you are interested in competing for one of the available positions, please e-mail me with your song choices and when to expect them. I STRONGLY suggest including an alternate tune in case of duplicates. If two artists submit the same song, the best one will make it. If both provide alternates, chances of both artists being selected increases.

As always, all proceeds from this project will continue to be donated to a cancer related cause in the name of the late Eric Carr.

  • (If you are part of a duo or collaboration, the cost for each member is reduced to $100 a piece, for a total of $200. The entry fee for full bands will also be $200, and will allow for all band members to include their e-mail or screename accounts in the credits if they choose.) Major label interest between now and the deadline could possibly mean the elimination of all entry fees. :-)
