ATLANTA--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--May 28, 1998-- Brilliant Digital Entertainment Inc., (AMEX:BDE - news), a leading interactive entertainment content and tools developer and pioneer in Internet pay per view, Thursday announced it is working with the rock group KISS and Intel Corp. [Nasdaq:INTC - news], the world's largest chip maker, to create the first Multipath Music Video that will take advantage of Intel's next generation microprocessor.

The new Multipath Music Video genre joins the Multipath Movie and Multipath Adventure family of products. Multipath Music Videos are three-dimensional, digitally animated stories, based on the music of the band, each with multiple plot and music alternatives that are influenced by the user. Each Multipath Music Video runs approximately the same length as a film or video.

Brilliant Digital Entertainment's proprietary software tools allow for seamless interactivity with a click of the mouse. Users can dictate the story and graphics as well as alter each character's mood and ensuing actions. New Multipath episodes can be downloaded at Brilliant Digital Entertainment's Web site, www.bde3d.com.

``Brilliant Digital Entertainment is excited to be working with both Intel and KISS to create the first interactive digitally animated music videos where the user influences the action and the musical outcome,'' said Mark Dyne, chairman and chief executive officer, Brilliant Digital Entertainment.

``For the first time music and the digital age can truly be integrated on one CD or via the Internet, and it is a great privilege for Brilliant to be a part of this group,'' Dyne added.

``We are excited about the creation of compelling new forms of PC-based music that take advantage of Intel Architecture-based PCs,'' said Wendy Hafner, director of music marketing, Intel. ``The increase in PC performance combined with these new types of applications is raising the bar on interactive entertainment for consumers.''

``We are thrilled to be partnering with BDE and Intel on the first interactive, digitally animated music videos. What a way for the band who defined a generation of rock, to lead a new generation into the millennium,'' said Gene Simmons, KISS. ``KISS has always believed in pushing the limits and being on the cutting edge but especially giving the fans more -- this will blow you away,'' Simmons added.

The new KISS title, ``The Kiss Multipath Musical Tour,'' will be an exciting mix of story and music that will immerse the viewer in this experience.

KISS on tour conjures wild thoughts about the events that take place as the group make their way through strange cities and places on the planet and across the universe causing absolute havoc and mayhem and shaking up people to this new musical superforce -- The Multipath Music Video. Look out for music that has never been heard before -- fans of KISS will be blown away.

The legendary and mighty KISS were the No. 1 Touring Act of '96-'97 (Pollstar) and have, over their 25 year history, sold more than 75 million albums, lagged right behind The Beatles for the number of group gold albums (Billboard) and scaled the rock pantheon like no other rock band in history.

1998-1999 is shaping up to be their biggest year yet. The upcoming ``Psycho Circus'' album and tour will kick off at the Los Angeles Dodger Stadium on Halloween. Thereafter, KISS will tour the world, and will be laying the groundwork for their ``Millennium Concert Events'' that are being planned around the turn of the century.

Brilliant Digital Entertainment has formed strategic alliances with Packard Bell NEC and CompuServe to distribute its Multipath Movies over the Internet's World Wide Web and has acquired the exclusive worldwide rights to Bantam Doubleday Dell Books for Young Readers for the Choose Your Own Adventure series of interactive books.

The company has also signed content deals with DC Comics, Morgan Creek Productions, KISS, King Features and Universal Studios. The company has headquarters in Los Angeles, with offices in Bondi Junction, Double Bay Australia and Middlesex, England.
