Bruce Kulick's Review!
From: Bruce Kulick via a KISS Karisma Fanzine interview.

  1. Hate
"This track rocks!!!!!!!!!! Like 'Unholy,' it is the cornerstone for Gene's songs. It has the ugliest solo I have ever heard. 'KISS goes to Hell' could be what it sounds like!

  2. Rain
"This track has an incredible feel from Paul. He sings his ass off on the whole album, but the chorus on this song has Paul at his finest. It is another wild riff with bends and turns all the time."

  3. Master & Slave(aka "Tell Me)
"A classic KISS track, although with some very cool surprises in it. It takes you up and down on a song that is built around a killer riff. My solo is another nasty affair!"

  4. Childhood's End
"We used a children's choir on it. Gene tells a real day-in-the-life story on this one. [It has a] great hook on it and [marks] the first appearance of my new BK model guitar for the double solo."

  5. I Will Be There
"A beautiful song written for Paul's son Evan. I play a nylon string acoustic solo. Very moody and a classic from Paul."

  6. Jungle
"This is a repeating riff song that takes you to.....the jungle! Again, a remarkable vocal performance from Paul. Probably one of the best on the album, I think it jams on at over six minutes."

  7. Seduction Of The Innocent
"Very interesting...A trip to the Middle East!! We had some percussion on this song that is cool and sexy. My solo is a wah-slide guitar that is nice and wet!"

  8. It Never Goes Away
"A very cool song that is heavy and reminds me of Creatures-era KISS. I play a twelve-string Rickenbacker that Gene gave me for my birthday and it sounds incredible."

  9. In My Head
"Heavy, heavy, heavy! Gene trips out on this one...wild stuff going on here. Look out!!!"

  10. I Confess
"We used a string section on this one which makes it really special. Very moody again from Gene, with a creepy guitar solo that has lots of goo all over the strings!"

  11. In The Mirror
"An uptempo rocker that has some amazing drumming from Eric. Did I mention that Eric kicks ass on the record? A wild solo from me that was done in one take."

  12. I Walk Alone
"The vocals that I did for 'I Walk Alone' were quite a trip for me. I have a low singing voice that [makes] it hard to hit those big high notes KISS is famous for, but the general consensus was that it is very cool. Toby Wright, our co-producer, was real supportive of me, as was Gene, who I co-wrote it with. It is a really long song and there are many surprises in it. Gene and Paul also sing at the end without me and the song really takes off again."

Well, folks, I guess you're all nice and wet after hearing about what sounds like a totally f-king awesome KISS album! Obviously, my next question was "When will this thing actually come out?"

"Ahh, the million dollar question!!! I guess it depends on the record company and the fans. As you can tell, I'm proud of the record and want to share it with our fans. Be patient...all good things come in time."
