Voting will be done by more than 600 people from the music industry — musicians, historians, record company staffers — as well as (for the second year) fans. Fan voting begins today and ends December 10. You can vote at RockHall.com/vote.
The Top 5 artists selected by the public will constitute a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2014 inductees.
To be eligible for induction an act had to release its first recording at least 25 years ago. The Class of 2014 will be announced in December and inducted in April in New York. The ceremony will air on HBO in May.
