Chris Czynszak | Decibel Geek

Ep120-ArtThe Decibel Geek podcast returns this week with the second half of an in-depth discussion with former KISS keyboardist Gary Corbett; Episode 120 – Gary Corbett Part 2

In this long-form discussion, Corbett shares insider details of inner-band turmoil in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s including tension between founding members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.

Corbett also addresses rumors that have swirled for 20+ years about Eric Carr’s status in the band during his final years and gives his take on what was going on at the end of Eric’s life.

Another subject covered in this hour-plus conversation is Corbett’s objection to certain stories portrayed in The Eric Carr Story; a book by Greg Prato in which Corbett is quoted.

Other topics discussed include half of KISS donning makeup for the ‘Rise to It’ video, the band’s club tour to promote Revenge, and Corbett’s ongoing friendship with current KISS drummer Eric Singer and an icy reception from Paul Stanley to Corbett backstage at a recent KISS show in Nashville, TN.

The Decibel Geek podcast started in April of 2011 and is released weekly with music and discussion of hard rock and heavy metal. Hosted by Chris Czynszak and Aaron Camaro, the Decibel Geek podcast has interviewed rock legends and personalities spanning 4 decades.
