I couldn’t really say anything until it was out, but I suppose I can now…WHAT A COOL DAY THIS WAS!!! My name is Jason, I’m the drummer in KISSED ALIVE-A Tribute to KISS, & I’m the guy who answers the phone at the beginning of the new BETH video. This was filmed at the world-famous Sunset Gower studios…It was recorded & filmed at the world-famous SUNSET GOWER STUDIOS…in the same studio the RAT PACK used to record!!!!

Wow, what a far out day…At the start of the day, I was carrying gear down the hallway & I knocked a gold record off the wall and broke the frame!! Greeeeat…. It wasn’t some ‘never heard of’ song either, oh no…..it was “Beat It” by Michael Jasckson..one of the biggest singles of all time!

Well, they were nice enough not to throw me out on my ass & offered me some coffee instead! Class acts, those folks at Sunset Gower….

I was original reading for the starrring role of The Catman,

since I am the Catman in Kissed Alive, but I suck as an actor, let’s face it…

so they got a real actor to play Peter’s role.

Being the cool people they were, they gave me a part anyway!

 

Rocco Fonzarelli, who plays Demon alongside me in Kissed Alive, plays Gene in this..

 

I had a great day & learned a lot.

I can’t believe how much went into this short film…

lot of people behind the scenes working their asses off.

 

So much history on those walls….got chills every where I looked…

 

To think that I recorded in the same room as FRANK SINATRA???

Now that is humbling..I took a photo of Frank’s face & sent it to my mom….

 

One last story…they needed drums for the studio shots,

so they rented my stage drums from the tribute show…

 

After I got my gear set up, there was some time before everything began…

I kept looking at all the legends that recorded in this room…I just had to…..

couldn’t help myself… I climbed up on my drum set and began to play.

 

THAT is a day I will always remember, from start to finish.

 

BIG THANK YOU to my favorite band of all time-KISS, because without them, absolutely none of this would ever have happened.

NO OTHER BAND in history has things like this associated with it…

KISS is the absolute pinnacle of everything a rock band could and should be.

 

I can’t believe how much fun it is being a footsoldier in the KISS army….

I grew up playing drums on the couch to the photo on the inside of ALIVE II.

 

To have been lucky enough to be in KISSED ALIVE and play places like FREMONT STREET in LAS VEGAS,

(where we headlined for 3 nights last year w/my 9 yr old son in the audience every night).

recently we met STAN LEE (the man behind MARVEL COMICS & the original Kiss comic books)

and now to be in a short film about BETH??
