KISS Fans: Put Up Or Shut Up!

I have been reading these sound-offs since they began to appear on KISS Asylum and I must say I am so damn sick of hearing all of you "KISS Fans" (and I do quote that) bitch about what you don't like and what you think they should do better! I say shut up and here are my reasons why.

The Reunion Tour
This was my dream to see the original KISS in all its glory; I am 19 so I missed the 70's. KISS gave us all a renewed hope in rock and roll and built a whole new audience with a different generation. It was great and I don't think anyone was complaining about it. Then the trouble started.

Psycho Circus
I wish everyone would stop complaining, because this is a great album. I know people are upset about rumors of who played what. . . F*** it! who cares? It was done by KISS. If you put it up against any of the albums song for song since Creatures Of The Night it is the best one out there to date. So shut up! It's not over yet and if there is a next album it won't be another PC, it will be different.

The Toy and Collector Craze
I happen to like a lot of the merchandise out there. It's fun to collect and most of it is good. If you don't like it, dont buy it. No one is making you buy this stuff. If it's about just the music for you that's great, but KISS means 100 different things to 100 different people. Maybe someone loves the party tunes and classic rock sound, others may like the fact that there can be comic books and figures.

Playing Songs from the 80's
Why the heck not? KISS is 4 guys. Paul and Gene have always been 50% of KISS and wrote 80% of the material. Why not bring in some other stuff, what's the difference? You people act like they are cover tunes or something. These are KISS songs and should be recognized. The non-makeup era was a lot longer than the makeup days. I would love to see a song like "Heaven's On Fire" with the original band -- it would rock!

It Won't Last Forever
This is my last point. If the next tour is the farewell tour it will be a sad day for any KISS fan. Everyone is so quick to say that KISS should just end it now. When it's over everyone will miss the occasional KISS album, new costumes and stage designs, visiting the KISS Asylum for the latest happenings, etc. KISS is our band and I think it's time we gave them the respect they deserve.

So, I think it's time for you the KISS fan to ask yourself, is it for you anymore? I will always proudly be a KISS freak! If you don't like the toys and music now. . . find another band, because if there wasn't all the toys and movies it just wouldn't be KISS and we would all be following every other band with no identity and originality. I'm proud to be a KISS Fan Forever!
