Memories

Memories. That is what KISS is looking to be. As much I personally hate to say or even think this, it is true. Yes the band (original) can still rock live, but where is the edge? How many of us can look up at the stage and keep from looking at Gene and thinking, 'Exercise much?' Paul is a true front man and has a great RnR voice, but I hear the song 'Nothing can keep me from you' and I heard strain. Where Steven Tyler can do it, Paul is unable. Ace and Peter, I can't comment too much on. The point I am trying to make is that KISS needs to decide where the road is going to lead and plan the trip. I would ask for one more album.

Like everyone else, I want an album that just the four original guys wrote, sang and played on. Oh yeah, with Eddie Kramer too. Anything less would be a waste of time and really stupid, i.e. 'Psycho Circus' sales. I was so looking forward to PC, but when you started to hear the stories behind the scenes and listen to album (I'm not saying the album stunk, but it wasn't the KISS album I was looking for), I felt like I was cheated and that KISS really missed an opportunity to lay claim. So, like I mentioned before, plan the trip and make sure everything is packed. Three songs from each are good, and Peter doesn't have to sing a ballad. Forget 'Destroyer'!! I'm thinking more like a 'Rock And Roll Over' feel. Rockin!! Take their time and work hard & together and the fans will respond. The tour for this album should be the last with make-up. 50+ year old men in make-up and spandex isn't looking any better. Sorry. But four adult men up on stage playing music and performing will be fine. Now back to this last tour in make-up -- it should be a regular world tour with only the original four, playing only their material. No 80's, just the original stuff with the many other songs they could perform from their era.

But the final show should be the BIG production. I would think they would pick a central spot (Kansas, Illinois, Minnesota) so everyone could try to make it who wanted to (I can dream). This is where you would bring back all of the KISS members and do the show with and without make-up, pay tribute to Eric Carr, and then blow the arena up (literally). Make this show last 4+ hours or hell, make it an all day event with a Wicked Lester, Chelsa, Frehley's Comet reunion, along with UNION & ESP! All of it together in one place and for one time only! Wouldn't that sell tickets? What a show! Forget Woodstock.... KISStock. Show me a band that could put on a show/event like this?!

After this, then KISS could then take the time to do side projects. They could get back together, without the make-up, to do an album; maybe tour and then chill until the next get together. They could just be a band. Would this happen? Probably not since they haven't actually 'worked' together in a long time.

Now for the final make-up tour set list. This list will not be for my dream final show, but for the tour preceeding it:

I Stole your Love * Watchin' You *Strutter * Talk to Me * Come on and Love Me * Let me go RnR * I Want You * Dirty Livin' * God of Thunder * Drum solo * Radioactive * Move On * Tossin' and Turning * NY Groove * Ladies Room * Shock Me * Guitar Solo * 100,000 years * Black Diamond * Detroit Rock City * Love Gun * Beth * Rock and Roll All Nite (plus one or two from the new album).

That would work for me. Not too much to ask is it?
