Paul Stanley Attends Charity Auction

Paul Stanley Attends Charity Auction
From: Greg & Marne
We have returned from a KISStastic time in Canada! The Windsor Arms Hotel in Toronto hosted a Charity Auction/Masquerade Ball Halloween Night after the final performance of "The Phantom of the Opera". Paul Stanley attended the formal event along with Pamela, Evan, Paul's parents, Doc McGhee, and many other cast members from the 'Phantom'. Paul and his family were very accessible, mingling with the crowd and taking time to talk with all who approached them (including us!!), and welcoming questions. When asked, Doc offered the information that the band would be back on the road in March, 2000. Paul's father boasted how proud he was of his son, and that he would like to see him do more theatre. Paul and Doc talked about New Year's Eve in Vancouver, and both did mini interviews with the many news stations covering the event. Evan showed he has a voice like his dad, singing 'Phantom' songs on stage with Paul looking on. A live auction consisting of 'Phantom' memorabilia, stage props, and actual costumes made for an exciting time. An autographed, framed 'Phantom' mask used by Paul on stage, and a Washburn guitar custom painted with the 'Phantom' insignia and mask with a star over one eye prompted Paul to come to the stage to entice the bidding to go higher. As the items sold, he congratulated the winners, again autographed each item, and posed for pictures. The evening came to a close at approximately 1:00AM. Paul and his family stayed until the end. It was truly exciting!!
