First I'd like to say thanks to everyone at KISS asylum for doing an outstanding job and keeping us KISS fans informed. So was I expecting some kick ass KISS album? yes Did I get it? no. In my opinion the best KISS material is what appears in KISS Alive I and II. Since theyve been on this nostalgia trip for the last couple of years I expected the old attitude to show up on the album. Was I disappointed? Hell yeah! But maybe im biased because I think 80's KISS sucks. On to the tracks:

Psycho Circus: The only good thing about this song is that Paul even at 48 still has such a kick ass voice. The song is weak and as an opener doesnt even come close to "Deuce"

Within: reminds me of "Charisma" but the silly attempt at sounding like Metallica bites.

I Pledge Allegiance: sounds like 80's KISS. Yuck! only good thing is the end when Paul sings Rock and ROOOOOOOlllllL! Wish he would do more of that.

Into the Void: The reason i got so excited about this album was that I heard this song on Frehleys web site. This is clearly the only song that sounds like real KISS. The feel, the sound, the attitude. It would have been better if Gene didnt mess with it. You can just see Paul jumping around and Gene doing his walk on stage. It just shows how important Ace was to the classic KISS. Ace: your brain is fried but you still rock, thanks for the only good tune.

We Are One: Gene is tripping, mid life crisis. I wanna hear some growling not this crap!

You Wanted The Best: trying to sound like Rock & Roll All Nite but failing miserably. I wish they would have picked out another producer.

Raise Your Glasses: Why do they have to put this 80's sounding crap in here. sucks

I Finally Found My Way: There is some feeling in this song but the over producing of Fairbarn and Pete's straining ruin the song. Gene and Paul should have given Peter something like Black Diamond.

Dreamin': I freaking hate Kulick, Why not give Ace another song. This is another 80's boring metal tune.

Journey Of 1,000 Years: If I wanted to hear Revolver id listen to the Beatles. Gene's mid life crisis again. sucks

As you can tell Im not impressed with this half ass album. They should have given us more hard rocking KISS music instead of this 80's crap. I Love the REAL KISS and like the rest or you I'll be at the concerts,buy the action figures, and give them more or my money. KISS asylum.com rocks better than this album.
