The anticipation and anxiety of waiting for Kiss to hit the stage hasn't changed for me through all the time I have seen them. Once again they did not disappoint. From the beginning chords of "Psycho Circus" to the ending explosions of "Black Diamond", Kiss set you in high gear without a chance to take a deep breath. The Albany, crowd was in the show right from the beginning. The 3D effects in my eyes were awesome especially when the guitars looked like they were coming at you. Ace got the most pop from the crowd, every time he was doing his solo, the crowd erupted. It took Ace about two songs to get loose and get going. The set list was better than the Halloween show as with the flow of the songs and I know that some people were disappointed the "She" and "Nothin to Lose" were taken out. Paul of course was the strutting, dancing and guitar slinging frontman and was on auto-pilot the whole night. When he flew across the arena to sing "Love Gun" was a crowd pleaser. There he had his only little private stage where he stepped up a few gears. Gene, of course was his usual stalking, prowling self with his thundering bass. I thought when he flew to the top this time it was better than the when he did it for the Reunion tour. Maybe because this time he was over the crowd more. The drums of Peter Criss sounded excellent. I thought Peter had alot of energy during the Reunion show when they were here, but he had more energy this time around. The drum set going over the crowd was fun to watch and when the drum riser got back down to the stage, you could see him say "Wow". The band sounded really good and were having a great time playing. They were high fiving each other during the show and kidding around alot. They were real loose. I have never seen them use so much pyrotechnics in all the times I have seen them. They were a wide variety of people and age groups there to see the show. The show I don't believe was a sellout, but too bad to those who missed probably one of the greatest live bands of rock and roll. They can still kick ass and I don't think anyone can hold a candle to them. The songs were great, I imagine the set list might change as the tour progresses. The band was great, the show was awesome and the crowd got there moneys worth and had us craving for more. I wanted the best and I got the best. So when Kiss comes to your town don't pass up on the chance of see the Greatest Show on Earth.
