What a show!!!!! I've now gone full circle with KISS. They were my first favorite band way back in 1976....now they're my favorite again. When these guys come out on stage, you never get the impression that they're bored or just going through the motions. Their energy is electrifying and their performance is a true professional performance every night. Leave it to KISS to treat their audience to spectacular 3-D effects in addition to the other spectacular effects they've always used.
Right from the start, this was a HOT show. The boys set the pace with "Psycho Circus" then moved right into "Shout it Out Loud" The audience joined right in, singing along word for word. By the time they melted the stage with their thunderous rendition of "Black Diamond", KISS had treated the audience to a riveting, explosive guitar solo by Ace (that brought back memories!!!), a sensational performance of "God of Thunder" - sung by Gene from atop the rafters -, "Love Gun" featuring Paul flying over the audience, and a pounding drum solo from Peter during which his set hovered high above the stage!!!
I guess when you've been around as long as KISS has, it's impossible to play ALL your big songs in one show. Noticably absent from the set were such notables as "She", "Hotter Than Hell" and my personal favorite "Rock Bottom". That, combined with the antics of some jerk in the audience with a laser pointer, were the only disapointments of the evening. It's great to see KISS back together again, and it's great to see that they're still a force in the music industry.
SHOUT IT OUT LOUD.......KISS IS BACK!!!!!!!
