This concert was unbelievable. There was so much excitement, so much energy. I had read some of the previous concert reviews before going last night. A lot of the reviews here had said that Peter Criss was too old, couldn't keep up, sounded bad, etc. Let me tell you..... he was great. He sounded better than he did at the Reunion Tour.
We got to the Bradley Center about 5 minutes before Econoline Crush took the stage. I had heard one song by them, so I new what they were like and was looking forward to them. They did not disappoint me at all. They were really good.
Right before KISS took the stage my adrenaline started going. People were so pumped up for this. It gave me that old 80's heavy metal concert feeling. (God I missed those concerts) There were even a lot of those black leather, high hair, 80's heavy metal sluts. Enough about them, this is about KISS. Paul sounded better than ever. What range that guy has! Ace was perfect. Gene, like always, was the show stopper. Peter was solid. I would say this was better than the Reunion Tour. The 3D effects were really cool. There were so many stage explosions.
All in all I don't think that the people who wrote the bad reviews of this concert didn't see the one that I saw. I will agree that the merchandise was over priced. My friend Chris paid $30 for a shirt and I paid $20 for a program. And, yes I would love to hear some newer stuff. It would have been great to hear something from Creatures, Lick It Up, or Revenge. But, It was a great show anyway. This was my third time seeing them. This one was so good the four of us couldn't decide which was the best song. Psycho Circus, Cold Gin, With In, Black Diamond, Do You Love Me, they were all great. Every song was played with such enthusiasm and power. It's 8:00 the next morning when I'm writing this and my ears are still ringing. It was great and a night to remember.
