Hi, here's the Prague review. The show was held in Sports Hall, which roof is low (it's old hall built for ice hockey), so we missed a lot effects like Gene's and Paul's flight and Peter's drum kit levitated only a few feets. And because of low roof, the screen was partially covered by Peter's drum kit, so it was hard to see the 3D effects sometimes (especially truck hitting).
We entered the arena at 18.45 and took position in the front rows. The show was sold out - 12.000+ fans. The air circulations was so bad, that you felt like beeing in the front of hell (we were :))). I saw that a few people collapsed because of heat and bad air....
Before the show I read that KISS would meet a newly married couple for a photo behind the stage...
The Cherry something was really one of the worst opening acts I've ever seen. But the sound was really awful, and it hurt them a lot. It gets better during the Kiss set, but the sound wasn't perfect until the very end of the show.
At 21.10 curtain fell down. They were at great shape, we saw a lot of laughing, dancing, jumping etc. You can feel that they really enjoy the show. A lot of comments about new tour were told before, how great they are (that's true) etc., so I concentrate myself on highlights:
Paul is the SHOWMAN, he chatted a lot with fans and learned a few chzech phrases, which were warmly applauded. Before Love Gun he told to the audience, that his grandfather was born in Czechoslovakia (can anyone confirm this?). He also belongs to exceptions who know that there's a difference between Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia. I added these lines, because a few fans wrote he didn't even know which album some songs belong to. He presented KOTNTW like a Destroyer song, so in Prague he was in great shape :)))))
Ace was fantastic, but the moment before Into the void was the greatest from entire show. He went to the mic, started to laugh and said: "The boys are playing." and pointed at Gene and Paul who started to play a short version of clasicall rock'n'roll song. Nice..
Gene made a great show, as usually, and Peter's drumming and singing were better than during Reunion tour.
The effects were good, especially green and red flames, Ace's guitar with spinning fire is cool, even the 3D was nice. But a lot of people only starred at screen during 3D, so it sometimes looked like beeing at a movie :)))
My only complainment goes to the setlist. It was song by song the same setlist like in Utrecht, with only 19 songs (without Cold Gin). PC wasn't bad, Into the Void is the best song from the new album, but Within is bad, even in live version. They also could exchange some old songs, this setlist is very similar to the one used during Reunion tour. I don't know why they don't play song like Strutter, C'mon .., Parasite, She etc. etc. I missed them a lot.
Anyway, it was a terrific night and KISS proved they're the hottest band in the world again.
