Psycho Circus Tour Reviews

From: Gordo

Well, I gotta start by saying that for this being my first KISS concert ever, I was extremely impressed and overly excited by the whole pleasure and mystique that is KISS! Being one of the younger fans in the crowd (I'm 15) I was looking for different things then many other fans. Instead of trying to compare this show with the REunion tour ( which I wasn't present at) I was looking for Gene everywhere on the stage. Watching Paul runnin around with all his energy and seeing all the people with their hands in the air when Ace was on either side of the stage. I will agree with everyone on the issue concerning the set list, but the fluidness and the way in which they were executed seemed more important to me. Not one of the almost 22 000 fans in the "DOME" were at ANY time bored or not thoroughly enjoying themselves. The band was on at every point in the show, never missing a cue. Ace was in top form and his solo was mind blowing, pulling out all of the classical special effects that makes him such a crowd pleaser. Peter was hittin' the skins with authority and never missing a beat. Gene was the crowd favourite, which was obvious from the minute we entered the stadium. Many of the fans were dressed up in Simmons garb and make-up. Paul was his ever present energetic and enthusiastic self and the crowd really dug his flying act to the separate stage. The crowd went nuts during God of Thunder and Shout it out Loud got everyone going after an excellent opener in Psycho Circus. Special effects very much ruled the show keeping everyone seeing something new and exciting. It's unfortunate to be hearing so many people with only negative things to say about the show, when it's really clear that there wasn;t anything to be put down. True, maybe it's because the reunion tour had fulfilled everyone's two decade old dream of seeing KISS live again, but ofcourse you can't compare this one to that one because there are different circumstances surrounding the tour. This has been the highlight of this year for me, and look forward to the nex tour.
