First of all, let me just say the arena pretty much sucked. It was small and rundown. I cant believe KISS played there, even though Im glad they did. Skid Row and Ted Nugent sounded pretty bad. Not near as good when we saw them in Birmingham and Atlanta. I figure it must of been the arena. Anyway, on to the good part. KISS.
When they first started to descend out of the ceiling, the KISS curtain got hung for a few seconds, then they came down. Their sound was great. Paul sounded good, Gene sounded good, and Ace as usual, seemed like he was just having the time of his life. Peter's drumming was NEVER better. Paul messed up on a few songs, and Ace went into the second verse of Shock Me (like he did in Atlanta). But Peter's drumming was (to me) flawless. He gave so much energy to his hits, it really amazed me. I am so fortunate to have seen him give so much energy in all 3 Farewell shows I have been too. Ace's solo was great. He did the 2001 oddessy theme, of course with the rockets and all that. Peter didnt have a solo on this show, Atlanta he did, and it was great. Paul went into I Still Love You during his solo and it seemed to me he got a little choked up. Gene did God of Thunder with a vengence. He is really looking great out there too. All in all, I was pleased with the show and even the 5 hour drive there and back. I just hope I can make another show. I dont want that one to be the last. Thanks ACE, PETER, PAUL AND GENE for many great memories.
