KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Sam
Buffalo was treated to a Rock N Roll party Saturday Night. Skid Row started the show at 7:00pm for a 30 minute set. If you are a Skid Row Fan you will probabley enjoy their set. If you not a fan you can afford to miss them and wait for Ted Nugent & Kiss. A few songs played- Piece Of Me, Monkey Business, I Remember You, Youth Gone Wild.

Ted Nugent came on after a short intermission and kicked ass. The Motor City Madman was his typical vulgar and political self. I'm sure his right wing beliefs offended some people, but the majority of the crowd was totally into him. Ted played some of his classics- Stormtroopin, Wang Dang..., Dog Eat Dog, Free For All, Cat Scratch Fever, Paralyzed, Stranglehold, Great White Buffalo.

KISS WAS AWESOME!!! This was their 3rd show in as many nights, but you couldn't tell by their performance. There was a high level of intensity from the opening of Detroit Rock City to the final encore of Rock N Roll All Nite. Paul was especially pumped up and spoke to the audience after almost every song. The three eighty's songs sounded great. Especially Love It Loud. Gene had the whole crowd singing and pumping your fists.

Ace was solid as usual. Did a nice job with Shock Me & 2000 Man. Although his background vocals needs some work. Peter did a great version of Beth and sounded strong during Black Diamond.

\ * On interesting side note: During 100,000 Years Paul was doing his usual rap with the crowd when he stoped and directed his attention to two people sitting approx. 3rd row center on the floor. I will try and quote is much as I can remember. "Is it past your bedtime? Are we keeping you up? We have a couple of very old people here that can't stand up! They must be at least 25 years old!!!"

I couldn't believe it. 15,000 people standing up going nuts and you have these two morons SITTING in the 3rd. As Ted Nugent once said "anybody that wants to get mellow up can turn around and get the fuck outta here. DO NOT MISS THIS CONCERT. Enough said.
