Well... after reading all of the other reviews on here it is obvious that our show is really no different that anybody else. I guess its kind of cool that KISS puts on the same show in Calgary Canada as they do in much larger US markets. Skid Row was solid, and Ted Nugent was definitely controversial. He even got into making Canadian Political comments. He also made the front page of one of our major newspapers the next morning while KISS didn't.
But Calgary was definitely pumped!!!
I thought that 80's stuff was just incredible! Nice add to the set.
I dragged a bunch of my freinds to this one, most of them being rap fans, and they were all rocking and having a good time and said it was worth every penny of the 72 dollars we spent for tickets!
Paul was in his usual form, spilling out sometimes seemingly endless rants. The highlight of night was when he was talking about Calgary... he was obviously using the advertisements in the arena as a guide.
"I'm here so I am gonna read the Calgary Sun... eat Tim Hortons donuts... drink Coca Cola classic, and put PUROLATOR in my car."
Purolator is a courier company not unlike American Express... Everybody just kind of looked at eachother like "what the heck is this goofball doing" But hey, if he wants to use it for gas... let him... ITS PAUL STANLEY!!!
Ace Rules.. Peter is slowing down (no drum solo)!!!!!!! Ted Nugent is a whacko... Skid Row was loud... The crowd rocked.. Gene is the God of Thunder and Paul was in typical form!
Its sad that I only got to see these guys twice in my life.. cause I wish there was more!!
At least Def Leppard is still rocking!
