As I sit and think about went went on last night these are the results:
1. Drank Beer
2. Seen hot bods in leather
3. Watched Teddy Rock
4. Lost drunk freind; still don't know where she is
5. Here's the confusing part:
Before KISS came out, I noticed many empty seats. Some dude actually had the nerve of telling me to sit down! One; I was not at a Neil Diamond concert so I was not going to sit down. Two; not much fan excitement (as there should have been). Three; Did I mention some asshole told me to sit down?
Anyway, I was hoping for a better performance than the PC Tour in Charleston where the music sounded bad. I was hoping also to see the video that was played at the beginning of the AZ show. I was hoping for an energetic crowd.
I did not get what I wanted with the exception of the best performance I think I have seen KISS perform (10 shows). The crowd was dead but it wasn't KISS's fault; Let's just say the Charleston chapter of the KISS Army isn't very wild. Period. If KISS puts on the show they did on Friday when I go home to Cleveland, it will really be something!
I can still remember the first KISS concert of the Reunion Tour where the city of Cleveland was covered in KISS and the most exciting time in my life was occurring at that show. Hell, even Charleston rocked in Alive/Worldwide- I remember waiting in line with some dudes named "Tater" and "Smoote" for that show for 10 hours in 10 degree weather.
Now I know why KISS is hanging it up: 1. They are getting old 2. Music fans are stupid and don't realize what REAL music sounds like (hence; PC, DRC flops) 3. They really DO want to go out on top.
Overall, the Charleston show was outstanding, even though the crowd was dead and I still have yet to hear from my lost friend, KISS is an entity who cannot be compared to. As Gene said ; "
