From: Doug Smith
Well, I must say that tonight's show was one of the best KISS concerts that I've seen in years. The magic was definitely there. Paul's voice was excellent and Ace's licks were never better. Gene was his usual self. Peter seemed,at times, to be going through the motions. However, Peter did get better as the show started to heat up. I had excellent seats (floor), and during Love Gun Paul's ride into the audience took him directly over my head! That might not seem like much to some of you, but I have never been so close to one of the members of the band that I could reach out and touch them. Paul played with the audience more that I've seen him do in recent years. I think he said, "CHARLOTTE" about 100 times tonight. It was a very special night for me. I've been a KISS fanatic for well over 24 years and really hate to see the boys call it quits. As the concert was coming to an end, I have to admit that I was feeling a little misty eyed. Fortunately, I'm going to the Greensboro show Saturday night, so I get to see them one last time. I never wanted to see the day that KISS decided to end this crazy ride. For me, along with millions of other KISS fans, this band was more than a band. For me, KISS was and is a way of life. To Paul, Gene, Peter, and Ace, THANKS GUYS! You have been a part of my life for 24 of my 34 years. You will always be a part of my life. You have given me great pleasure. Pleasure that only true KISS fans can understand.
