Legends never die!! I have been to 10 KISS shows prior to this one. My first concert in September of 1976 helped shape my rock & roll taste & saved me from the throes of REO SPEEDWAGON, TOTO & CHICAGO. I saw the phenomonal show on the ALIVE II tour on January of 1978 at the Coliseum{remember the KILLER blizzard} . So, KISS has provided me with some of the most outstanding live shows in my life. Which leads this review to this farewell tour.
We missed SKID ROW. We were told we didn't miss much.
Ted Nugent rocked. He has a 3 piece band this time around. I was digging DOG EAT DOG, FREE FOR ALL, STRANGLEHOLD, KISS MY ASS. He did roll off the highest in-between song comment, "Even the faggots will be eating pussy after this song!" Not politically correct, but it was funny as hell. Ted has one of the greatest rock drummers on this planet{Tommy Aldredge}.
Saving the best for last, KISS delivered the goods. Two solid hours of KISS classics.
Simply, the pentultimate KISS stage design. If you get the chance, you must go see this show! It was extremely loud & extremely bright. The pyro kicked ass!!

My personal highlights wew Deuce[synchronized moves & the lead guitar work], I Love It Loud[killer GENE vocals & PETER was slamming the skins], Psycho Circus[PAUL was vocally outstanding all evening-this was much better this tour], 2000 Man[ACE did a cool job & an entertaining solo-2001], & the warhorse Rock & Roll All Nite[the ultimate last song of a farewell show].(The cool Cleveland references were much appreciated)
I want to thank KISS for being the "hottest band in the world" & for "going out on top". I'd hate to think that I'd be writing into Toto Asylum if it weren't for that fateful day on the Destroyer Tour. Or Chicago Online...Blecchh! GENE, ACE, PAUL & PETER... Thank you for rocking Cleveland one more time!!!
