What can I say that hasn't already been said about this concert. I last saw KISS at Gund Arena in '96, and I made a few comparisons between that show and this one. I live in Columbus, but I'm afraid that our friends in Cleveland are more hardcore fans than what I saw last night in Columbus. In Cleveland, there were alot of fans dressed up, and many of them looked like the real deal. In Columbus, I saw a handful of people dressed up, and nobody looked that awesome. In Cleveland, the fans were pumped up before the show- in Columbus, they were kinda lame. The band rocked, and they sounded great, but I made a few observations from my killer 10th row seats. These guys appeared to be tired, and rightfully so, but 4 years ago they seemed to have alot more energy. Particularly Gene- 4 years ago he walked around alot more taunting the crowd. He kinda looked like he was just going through the motions. I was pretty drunk, so the other reviews are helping with my memory, but it was still a great show. I particularly liked the video that showed old KISS concert footage and photos. Compared to Cleveland 4 years ago, Ace was definitely better tonight. In Cleveland, he wasn't as sharp as he was last night. I can't put my finger on it, but he appears to be more comfortable now, and his playing seemed better. Others have speculated that he may be back on the bottle, but I saw no evidence of it. That's about all that I can remember, but if something else comes to me, I'll follow up. Definitely see this show, you won't be disapointed, and I wonder if anyone else thinks that Gene was a little lathargic.
