KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Eric Cooper
I have just returned from a mindblowing show at the Pepsi Center. This TRULY was a night to remember. Here's the review:

SKID ROW: Who cares? Seriously, they played a half hour and most of the crowd was in the halls of the venue buying KISS T-shirts. Without Sebastian Bach this band has no life. More like Skid Mark than Skid Row.

TED NUGENT: Could this guy play any longer of a set? An hour? With an encore? There were some serious Nuge fans but even they had to be appalled at what came out of this maniac's mouth. I was there to hear KISS, not Ted go on about how he hates foreigners and Janet Reno. Politics aside, his band was really tight. Ted can really play and his drummer was out of this world! Too long though. Way too long.

Then we have to wait while the stage is made ready for the Kings of Rock and Roll. The noise was deafening just waiting for them. All of the mullets in attendance scurried for more weed....

KISS: What can I say? A great show. Much like the reunion tour but with more energy. The set list did not derive from what you have already read. No surprises. Paul was the consumate showman as usual. He looks great too - in better shape than 1996. Gene was very active in his demon persona. The crowd loved him and he played very well. Ace was the guy I was really interested in seeing. He looks great, and he cracked a lot of smiles and laughed too. Good to see the Spaceman enjoying this last go-around. His work was really good. I loved the solo. It's the same solo you've heard before, but with added riffs of classic songs. The crowd loved it. Peter was having a great time too and his vocals were incredible. His playing is really dropping off thoiugh. His wrists must be bad. It seems to be difficult for him to move around a lot. Still, the catman did not disappoint!

All in all, a terrific show. Fans, do not miss this tour! You're either there or you're sorry!
