Just got home from Ft. Worth for the KISS show on Wednesday night. I had seen the show earlier in Lubbock, Tx and must say this one was much better. Got to the Center around 6:30 got my shirt and a couple drinks for me and my wife and headed to our seats. We had closer seats for the Lubbock show ( 7th row floor) and it rocked but the show and sound was much better here from the lower balcony.
Skid Row hit stage at exactly 7:00 p.m. and announced that they had 30 minutes to kick our ass'. They done a pretty good job of it considering it was only about a half house for there show. Next Ted came on and truely rocked the house. I know he may offend alot of people with what he says but I admire him for it because he truely speaks his mind..PLUS he showed he's a die-hard Republican by stating how he feels Gov. Bush will be the man with his Texas attitude to save America:-)
Finally about 2 songs after the black KISS curtain dropped the lights went out and the GREAT words we were waiting for were heard....Ft. Worth You wanted the best....
The way they came down to the stage was different than the Lubbock show as they were playing as they were lowered and introduced...Paul, Gene, and Ace on the lighting truss and peter's drum set. Musically, showmanship and energy they were much better than the Lubbock show but they do show a few signs of road tear...Paul 1st stated how he could feel the electricity in the building on this Thursday night (it was Wednesday, no big deal-Paul Rules) then during Ace's solo he said thank you Houston (they played there the night before) and the only other flaw I saw was Gene messed up/forgot some lyrics on a couple songs( sang the wrong words for I love it Loud and forgot 2 lines on LMGRNR). But to me they could have had a million flaws and I would have loved the show. I will be 30 tomorrow (8/25 same as the demons b-day) and have been a fan since I was 4 and have seen them live numerous times and even got to meet the band in 87 on the Crazy nights tour in Lubbock and on the Convention tour in Dallas. Ft worth will be my last chance to see the Hottest band in the world and it saddens me greatly but I will always have the memories of the greatest showmen ever so to Paul, Gene, Ace, Peter, Eric Carr (RIP)Vinnie, bruce and Eric Singer thank you guys for 27 years of my life that will never be forgotten.
