KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Hootie
What can I say but another excellent KISS show. I have seen them 8 times and this show is near the top. I can't believe they are in their 50's. They all looked great and were enjoying the show. The only negatives were Gene was unable to fly to the rafters again, but they tried to get him up there about 4 times. And Paul couldn't get to the stage in the middle of the arena for Love Gun. The pulley was too low and the crowd started grabing his boots. I can't believe they can't get this stuff straight, its one of the best parts of the show. The arena was very small so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. I will be at the Tampa show so hopefully I can see it done right. Come on road crew, get your sh*t together.

Other than those two screw-ups, the show was spectacular. I was anticipating a morbid Peter based on the previous show reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. His voice sounded great and drumming was better than ever. I kinda enjoyed the small arena. They still had an excellent stage, all the theatrics, and it was LOUD. The video screen behind the stage is second to none in my opinion. I thought the clarity and color were top notch.

The set list was the same as previous shows. I would love to hear Makin Love, C'mon and Love Me, Rock Bottom, She, I WANT YOU (that song rules) and other classic songs not on the previous tour. I wish they would mix it up a little bit. But how can I or any other Kiss fan complain when they play Firehouse, Black Diamond, Cold Gin, Shock Me, God of Thunder, Deuce, Love Gun, 100,000 thousand years, Dr. Love, DRC, etc.

Thanks for the memories over the past 23 years of my life (I am 32). I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN IN TAMPA.
