What a night!!!

We arrived early and saw Skid Row. After all the poor reviews I wasn't expecting much. However, by the end of Skid Rows show I was very impressed. Sebastian Bach wasn't there, but the new guy did not butcher his songs by any means. I went out and purchased the Skid Row Album the next day.

I thought Ted Nugent was the worst show of the day. Not only was he overly offensive, but it was impossible to understand the lyrics in his songs. His drummer was really good. Great White Buffalo was excellent. Cool effect at the end.

When Kiss came on the audience went crazy!!! I would have to say that there were closer to 20,000 people at the meadows. The entrance was fantastic, best ever!!!! There were no technical mishaps, but now and then ace would miss a note of a solo. All members seemed very full of life including ace as the show progressed. Peter looked happy, but seemed a little bored when they showed him just playing the simple beats. Let Me Go Rock and Roll was a downer because it is hard to hear the solos. The Pyro on heavens on fire could have been bigger and better, but i think the ampitheater restricted some of that.

Highlights for ME--- Skid Row..Paul flying real close to our seats, and during the bows gene stompped after peter.. Hysterical... And the STAGE WAS FANTASTIC.

Would Have Liked--- More peter. He sounded vocally excellent in Black Diamond and Strutter instead of Let Me Go. And Perhaps New York Groove instead of Shock Me.

Overall this is the best concert I have been to in my life. Much better for me than the reunion tour or psycho circus tour.

I WASN'T EVEN ALIVE WHEN KISS RECORDED ALIVE, AND I WASN'T AWARE OF KISS UNTIL THE MID 90'S...BUT THE LAST FIVE OR SIX YEARS WITH KISS HAVE BEEN UNBELIEVEABLE. THANK YOU KISS FOR SHOWING ME THAT FUN MUSIC IS FUN MUSIC, NOT ALWAYS THE MOST POPULAR MUSIC. I WILL NEVER FORGET THE LAST FIVE OR SIX YEARS OF MY LIFE. I HOPE SOMEDAY THERE IS A FAREWELL CONCERT DVD THAT I CAN SHOW MY KIDS. ALTHOUGH MANY CRITICS DISAGREE...YOU GUYS ARE THE ROCK AND ROLL EXPERIENCE AND I WILL HONESTLY ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT AND PARTY EVERY DAY UNTIL I DIE.
