This was to be the fourth time that I had seen KISS since reuniting and the second time on for this Farewell Tour. One of the positives for this show was that my brother was finally going to see KISS live! He wasn't disappointed.
Since I had just seen the whole show at Deer Creek back in May, I wasn't in too much of a hurry to get there right at 7 p.m. This was my first concert at Conseco, but I had already been there to watch the Pacers, so I knew how the seating was. Our seats were good, straight ahead of the stage in the second level.
We got there just in time to see Uncle Ted. One word to Ted and his sound crew..VOLUME! TOO LOUD! It all sounded like loud feedback. This was a shame too, I really enjoyed Ted and his band, musically. So after that half hour - forty-five minute constant whaaaaaaaaaaaa, Ted was finished and the crew prepared the stage for KISS.
The show started and ended GREAT! The band seemed loose and really enjoying themselves. Peter was having fun with the crowd via the camera. They didn't seemed tired, but energized. The songs sounded great. They all played and performed like I had expected, tight!
My brother and his wife finally got to experience what I have been talking and preaching about. It will change the way they view concerts from now on.
Thanks KISS, I will miss you.
