To start off with I'll let you know I saw the louisville show the night before so perhaps can fill in a few gaps in reviews. Technically wise no problems in louisville and i beg to differ with other reviews as Ace kicked ass, and as always holds the band together musically. I was in the 3rd row and paul generally only plays in spurts and acts like he is the rest of the time . And yes ACE and Paul did verbally jab back and forth calling each other Mr. wonderfull. Gene was gene though when in an earlyier review said he was angry during ROCK N ROLL it may be because ace plated an extra solo resulting in a extra chorus. Peter played fine but of interest during the drum break on 100,000 years you could see paul and ace partially obscured stage right looking very exausted. Allin all a great show--which brings us to Knoxville.

1st Knoxvile is a beautiful city but THOMPSON BOLING ARENA IS NOT THE PLACE FOR A KISS CONCERT . 1. No beer, and security up the ass incase you wanted a cigarette. who wants to ROCK N ROLL ALL NIGHT DRINKING SOFT DRINKS, and having to climb MT EVEREST to go outside for a smoke. BUT enough of that. Acouple of tecnical problems tonight. Ace'guitar foating to the ceiling was not spotlighted as whover was running lights didd'nt follow it . Ace responded by asking who was running lights that could'nt reconize a floating guitar. Also only one side of peter's pyro went off on the drum riser up so it set off on the way down sending sparks all over the stage.

The band also seamed like they were just doing what they had to,most likelly tired. Gene-no real change. Peter's drumming fine but sounded allitle tired during Beth. Paul- will this guy ever learn to stop screaching between songs and give it a rest ? Of note Ace was alittle late getting back on stage before 2000 man so Paul adlibbed Stating Ace was usually circling URANUS, MR. WONDERFUL and the king of Star trek.To which Ace stated HOW DO I REPLY TO THAT ! Which may explain why ACE botched the beginning of his solo. MY INSTINCT tells me that the part of this farewell tour may be the powerplay between PAUL-GENE vs Ace. Peter's along for the ride. Still it was a good show but not as good as LOUISVILLE. Don't get me wrong-KISS is the HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD but if this is the end just like the last time due to band struggles Paul and Gene should realize it was ACE and PETER who made THEM back the money. And cut them a bigger piece of the pie. Well that's just my opinion. I'm going to Cleveland 5-5 and will keep you informed. thanks for your time --H
