From: Rob and Kathy
Words could never do what we saw at the concert justice. From the opening cords of
Detroit Rock City to the last of Rock and Roll all night, it was by far the best
concert experience ever. I went to the concert worried that it may not live up to
my expectations....was I ever WRONG. Not only did it meet them,,,it exceeded
anything I may have expected. Each member of the band was energized, and it made
the audience twice as energized. Gene Simmons....what can I say? He is the man!!!!
His blood spurting, flying to the top of the stage to sing God of Thunder was the
most awesome thing I have ever seen or heard....Ace Frehly is the ultimate ultimate
guitar player...not a guitar player...a guitar god....Paul Stanley's voice is every
bit as awesome as ever, and he played to the crowd perfectly...and Peter Criss, wow..
how can you put his talent into words. Not only that, but our seats were six rows
from the stage...we made eye contact with the guys we were so close, and even managed
to snag a couple guitar picks that Paul and Ace through out...got em with my ticket
stubs in a frame!!! They played song after song after song for almost two full hours
without stopping or even slowing down, I dont know how they did it. All their good
songs too,,,lots of their old ones...Cold Gin, 2000 man, (Ace can sing too boy!!)
Shock Me, the list goes on and on....for those of you who have never made it to the
Nissan Pavilion in Manassas,,,it is well worth the trip. It is just a very nice,
pleasant and clean place, and was incredible on July 1st. I can honestly say that
KISS has spoiled me for any other concerts I may ever want to see in the future...
why bother? I wanted the best....I got the best!!!!! I only pray that the guys
decide on one for tour....keeping my fingers crossed....Excellent show KISS...
thanks for all the years of music, showmanship and memories!!!
