KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Elliott Crawford
This was my 4th show on the Farewell tour, and perhaps the most enjoyable. No, they didn't play "perfect", but that was one of the things that made the show special.

Ace starting playing the lead where the second verse goes, and Paul started singing it for him. Ace looked up from staring at the guitar kinda surprised, smiled and pointed at Paul.

When it was time for 2000 Man, Ace couldn't be found. Paul said something about maybe he was in Orbit or something. Gene Paul and Peter started the audience in a chant of "Ace, Ace etc.

When Ace came back to the stage, he introduced Paul as "Mr. Wonderful" (a nickname Paul has been calling Ace), and then he introduced, "on Bass, Gene Simmons!" and the audience responded with a big cheer. Then Ace and the boys played with a smile on their faces the whole night.

Several times during the showPaul went into his Elvis mode with the famous "Thank You Very Much" Elvis thang. Many times near the end of Black diamond Peter sings "Paul has you under his thumb" and Paul shouts "right!"...In Memphis when that happend Paul did a quick Elvis-"Thank you very much....oooh Black Daimond!"

KISS really seemed like thay were having a good time, and the Pyro at the end of the night was Crazy for an indoor show. It went on so much that Peter even paused a moment and looked at the light rigging that just kept exploding everywhere. It was a great show!
