KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Brian
Well, It has been 27 years of blood, sweat, and kick ass music for the rock and roll gods. 21 years that I have been following them. To tell you the truth, it is hard to see them say goodbye to so many adoring fans like myself. But this concert was one of the most memorible events that i have ever witnessed. Not because Kiss is my favorite band, but the events that transpired before, and during the show. I was happy to hear them play some of their songs from the 80's. Lick it up, Heavens on fire, I love loud, etc. But also the things that seemed to go wrong for the group and the fans. Number 1, my concert shirt that is custom made for the Milwaukee event. Whoever made the shirt misspelled the Marcus Ampitheater. It says Maccus, which i thought was a joke. Where's the quality control? Next, when Paul's overhead stunt failed to work. This all after getting the crowd frantically worked up, by making us yell until our faces turned purple and the decibel meter went in the red zone. Then Ace's shooting guitar accidently misfired into the crowd. Then there big screen failed to work. The only reason i am bringing these things up, is that i hope they would come back and play for Wisconsin again befor they stop touring. Even though these may be negative things, the show itself is worth every cent. I have seen many shows in my day, but no one, and i repeat no one, will ever give as much to the fans as this group has for so many years. One cannot appreciate that until a Kiss show is actually witnessed in person. I had 16th row seat that i bought online. The day of the show a local radio station in Green Bay was giving away VIP tickets. When i heard that, i decided to listen in. I was hoping that VIP would actually mean getting to meet the Guys or something like that. But in any case, I won those tickets by naming 6 segmented Kiss songs in order and being the 19th caller. Thanks to the eagle 106.7 FM Green Bay. But those tickets weren't any better than the ones i already had. But in my quest to get closer to Kiss, my friend and i saw 2 seats just to the left of where Gene stands in the front row. We decided to sit in those seats until someone told us otherwise. Well that never happened, we stayed there for the whole show. It was a dream come true for me and my friend, to see my rock n roll heros so close. Especially after looking back at the crowd and knowing i was in the front row at a sold out show. My next goal is to actually meet the guys and to tell them personally how much i appreciate them and all they have done for rock n roll. Then maybe get their autographs HA, HA. But Kiss truly kicks everyones but when it comes to live shows. So Kiss, thank you for the Music, The Shows, and all the memories. You will be missed but never forgotten in my eyes. Thank You!!!!!
