KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: BTC
KISS is not going quietly into the night...at least no in Milwaukee!

Despite a technical glitch that left the main viewing screen off for most of the show and Paul's transport to the back stage that didn't work, KISS continued to show why they are the best live act. Ever. From the opening DRC, the band was intense for the entire performance. Ace seemed a bit aloof--but then when isn't he? Haven't seen Paul so revved up for a show than he was last night. He genuinely seemed to care people enjoyed themselves and the KISS experience. The audience knew the band was giving a full-blown effort to entertain. When you look at the how many shows the band does in one week on this tour, my respect for showmanship and entertainment vaule is off the charts. Keep it up!

About the only downer for the entire evening was the "Motor City Moron," Ted Nugent. His pandering to the crowd with silly phrases and xenophobia worked for many, but not me. Ted, go back to your hunting grounds and stay there.

Looking back on the night, you have to give KISS credit for putting 18,000 people in an outdoor auditorium when the temperature was only in the mid 40s! It's bittersweet to know this is the last time the foursome will appear in full costumes and makeup, but their legendary status as the best performing rock band is set in stone.
