Once again, Kiss put on a great show. Unfortunately, there were a few negatives. The video screen behind Peter did not work. They kept trying to get it working for the first few songs but, it became too distracting and they finally turned it completely off.
When Paul tried to use his "flying machine" to head out in the audience for Love Gun, it didn't work. He joked "I tried". Ace forgot some of the words to "2000 Man". Other than that Ace seemed to be in top form. The biggest negative of the night was the weather. To hold an outdoor concert in the middle of May in Wisconsin is a gamble. The temp was about 40 degrees, with a brisk cold wind blowing right off Lake Michigan. The Marcus Ampitheater is on the shores of Lake Michigan. Too bad somethng couldn't have been worked out , and Kiss could have played at the Bradley Center. All of their other recent Midwest dates have been indoors. Skid Row was better that I thought they would be.
Enough negatives. Kiss still puts on the best Rock And Roll show for the money! The crowd was very enthusiastic. The venue was sold out. This tour is a must see for any Kiss fan. I went with a non-Kiss fan, and he had a great time.
Skid Row was better than I thought. I liked Skid Row in the 80's, and they played all of their best songs. The new singer did a good job on the old songs. Uncle Ted Nugent was fun. He has a great time out there when he plays. He also speaks his mind. He would be a great addition to the Republican National Convention this summer. He could really whip this country into a frenzy, so we return a Republican to the White House. The only problem with Uncle Ted was his use of curse words. They didn't bother me but, there were a lot of parents who brought their kids to this show, and the parents were very uncomfortable. Oh well, this is America, and Uncle Ted can say whatever he wants.
I hope to get to see Kiss again before they end it all. Nobody else puts on a show like this!
