Well, I just got back from the Peoria show at the Civic Center and all I can say is
WOW! Wasn't too impressed with Skid Row but Ted Nugent was amazing. He did all his
greatest hits and was very funny. I'm sure he offended a couple people but you'll have
that. This was the first time I have seen a concert at this venue and it wasn't all
that bad. There were a lot of rude people but they had plenty of security so you
could at least enjoy the show. Well, enough of that, on to KISS.
KISS took the stage about quarter after nine, give or take a few minutes and I was amazed at their stage. It was very awesome. It was better than the Psycho Circus and Reunion Tours combined and they sounded great. This was my fourth KISS concert and every time it keeps getting better. I know, each time you go see a concert you say this but it is the truth.
Detroit Rock City was the opener and their playing was really tight. The band did not make a mistake. The setlist was the same as usual but beggars can't be choosers. I Love It Loud sounded excellent. The crowd really got into the music. Peter was playing great. He really pounded the kit with all his might. Paul was hopping around the stage like he was twenty-five again. Ace did a great job on his solos and Gene was his normal excellent self.
Tonight at the Peoria Civic Center, KISS did not dissapoint. See you tomorrow night in Moline.
