KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Ron Ivanjack
After both Chicago shows and the auction preview on Saturday, I made the three-hour trip to Peoria to see Kiss for the 4th time this tour. We arrived early because the floor was general admission. After hours of wondering whether the door we were at would be opened first. At 6PM the doors opened and everyone made a mad dash for the floor. I landed front row right in front of Ace.

Skid Row continues to play an entertaining 30 minute set. It’s not Sebastian but the songs are still solid.

Ted Nugent and company remain rock solid. He received a warm welcome.

After 7 hours of waiting, my dreams came true-FRONT ROW FOR KISS. It was amazing to have the band really see you and interact with you. The set list is the same but the energy is still there. The show looked like a sell out and the crowd was noisy. All effects went off perfectly. Ace again shot a third rocket over the crowd.

Now for my second dream-catching guitar picks. I certainly had opportunities. As soon as Ace came over to his side of the stage, I pointed to my Ace shirt and he threw me a pick. I caught two more from Ace and one from Paul. Gene threw me one but I couldn’t grab it. One interesting thing, when Paul smashed his guitar, he dropped the body down to a crew member who took it backstage. I’m glad I didn’t try to be in the center with the goal of getting it.

A tremendous experience. I can’t believe I still have two more show this week!!!!!
