KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Nate
I ordered our tix through VH1.com. Later I found out that my uncle Jack( the one who got me into KISS when I was in the first grade) was going to be a few rows behind us. Then I found out that his girlfriend won tickets and a limo to and from the show. He gave the other tickets to his friend Courtney and Jacks son Patrick. Jack asked us to go with them in the limo. I took my wife Marsha and my 4 year old daughter. Everyone was telling me that I was not going to have a good time with her because of her age. I was alittle leary bout taking her but I didn't want her to miss KISS because she is a big fan like her old man. SOrry bout the rambling but I just wanted to brag 'bout the limo and my daughter the KISS freak like Daddy.

Now the show. Skid Row was a good band. I think the reason that they have been getting bad reviews is the acts that followed them. They did kill 'I Remember You'. They tried to an acoustical version. I kept waiting for them to kick it in the @ss and by the time they did, they lost the moment. They kicked @ss on 'Youth Gone Wild', unfortunatly that was the last song they did. They were pretty good. My daughter fell asleep in my arms 'bout half way through the act.

Then was The Motor City Madman, Ted Nugent. My daughter woke up and got into Ted. He was AWSOME. He had Me and Marsha crack'n up. I think that the people that get offended by his remarks take him to seriously. Look at the humor of his comments and you'll have a blast. Ted rocked on all his songs. When he played his last song, 'Great White Buffalo' he 'sacraficed' his guitar. He hung it up on his amps and shot it with a flaming arrow. Then some pyro went off. It was great.

And finally it was KISS. They did a little KISS foreplay first though. When the stage hands were setting up, music was playing. When they played 'Won't Get Fooled Again' by the Who during the drum lead it sounded like someone was actually playing it because it got louder than the rest of the song, then "BOOM". The big KISS curtain dropped hiding the entire stage. Everyone was ready for KISS. Nothing happened for what seemed like an eternity. Then the lights went off. The Blue spot lights wandering aimlessly through the crowd. "YOU WANTED THE BEST YOU GOT THE BEST THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD.... KISS" The KISS curtains dropped to the ground and KISS came down from the rafters. The show was the best ever. If you haven't got tickets yet, get them. You don't want to miss them. If you do then You'll probably enjoy other shows. Because If you see KISS then you'll never have to see another band. No one will ever put on a show that will compair. Everyone else will leave you wanting more. I would give you more details but that would ruin the show for the people that haven't seen them yet. But if you want more details E-Mail me. I love talking 'bout KISS.
