After seeing Kiss for what I thought was the last time in Charlotte NC on 4-20, I was fortunate enough to see them again in Raleigh. I wanted a show as equal to the other show, but this exceeded it!!! You can think of Southerners as "hicks", which may be true, but let me tell you, we are probably the best Kiss fans......My god, that crowd was so loud, I didn't even hear the opening of DRC until the drums kicked in and the bombs went off. It was like that the whole night. And the band really responded. All four guys had a blast. The show was perfect, with a small goof during "2000 Man". But overall a terrific show. The Alltel Pavillion is a great outdoor place to see a show. The set list was the same as all the others. The best song this night, in my opinion, was Psycho Circus. Paul sings the same lyrics, but he sings them differently, which makes the song more fun. The stage show was as good as you want it. Again, the crowd was so damned loud....... Durin!
g God of Thunder and Ace's solo, they kept yelling "Gene, Gene...." and "Ace, Ace....." The guys really responded to that. Even Peter had a great time......and he included a terrific solo!!!! Last time I saw them, the solo was only a couple of minutes, but this was long and sounded like the 100,000 years solo. So, that was really the last time I'll see Kiss. Of course, if they came close by again, I would go...but they aren't and that was the last one.......and that sucks. I'm bummed that I won't have that kind of experience at a concert again (as you are, too, I'm sure). But as long as I have a VCR, a CD player, and a brain I will remember this band that put out the greatest show on earth. There will never be another Kiss......and that's the truth. Long live Kiss...........Thanks, guys, for the greatest rock and roll experiences of my life................I wanted the best, and I got it...every fucking time.
